  1. Its an interesting idea. Although I'd make it 5 innings with the other caveats. But for the rule to work for me, they would have to use the same format in the playoffs. The ghost runner is fine during the regular season and it's not every game. But you cant change the game entirely for the playoffs.
  2. I wish I forgot he was on the team. I also wish Getz and Katz and Sizemore forgot as well.
  3. Good that the Schriff will be back. Just last night he was telling us how great of an offensive season Nicky Lopez was having, and on a fly ball to right , said it was a fly ball to left. There's been 3 or 4 times recently he didn't know the score. Note to Brooks. Hire a PBP guy that gives the listeners credit enough for knowing they are watching a baseball game.
  4. There really isn't. In terms Jr can understand, every year he is the GM is a wasted year.
  5. I fell asleep after Anderson got out of the 6th with the Sox leading 2-1. God does the bullpen suck.
  6. This is confirmation they are playing for the top pick in 2026 They will then lose the lottery. I do laugh at Brooks saying they want their ticket holders making money on the secondary market. If that’s true, why do they throw tickets on there and compete with them?
  7. It’s amazing how many crappy players are in the Yankees line up.
  8. Throw Chucky a fastball above the belt, he has about as much chance hitting it as any Soxtalk poster.
  9. This would be a nice win. I think the Sox only have 6 or 7 wins when the other team scores first.
  10. Schriffen actually questioned why people aren’t talking about Nicky Lopez offensive production. Sullivan is right. The broadcast is pure gaslighting.
  11. They let Hostetler run the draft then re-assigned him. It's the White Sox way.
  12. What do you think is more likely, Jake Eder is a contributor for the Chicago White Sox, or Jake Eder has a future with the Chicago Dogs? I think the safe assumption is the latter. It was a bad trade. You are one of the Burger haters, but at least he's been good since the trade. The guy the Sox got for him? Not so much.
  13. He is cheap offense. Something this team desperately needs. Instead, the Sox have a soon to be 26 year old with a 10.00 ERA in AAA.
  14. Wow, Sullivan going after JR then Schriffen during the same week. Good for him Sox fans deserve better.
  15. It's stil a terrible team, but without king of all losers at the helm, it's a much better product.
  16. The Yankees probably should have had about 10 runs by the end of the 3rd. When they didn't you had to figure it was the Sox night. 3 games without Pedro, 2 with the most hits of the season. Go figure.
  17. Too busy taking down signs to stop crap like this.
  18. The game is so different. I used to play Strat-o-matic as a kid. I loved homers, hits and walks. Dave Kingman was a whiff machine back in the day. But his career high was 156, which is close to the pace Andrew Vaughn is on this year, and whiff machine doesn't even cross my mind thinking of him.
  19. I love how security thinks it's impossible to get a sell the team sign in. The guy should have told him he packed it under his gun. Amazing how that story just went away.
  20. Of course people with no clue, would be crazy to give some sort of timeline. He and the team owe the fanbase some sort of explanation , and when they believe they should have this fixed. If you remember, this guy was hired because they couldn’t waste a year, and he would have this built back faster than anyone else.Perhaps the best rebuild of the JR era had a timeline they actually beat by a season, when Himes built a team that was supposed to be ready to contend when they moved to what then was the new park.
  21. Gavin Sheets hasn’t hit a homer in 2 1/2 months, and only has 6 doubles during that time. I don’t understand why he is on the roster, but if he must play, does he have to hit in the middle of the order?
  22. Kopech got a win last night. 5 appearances with the Dodgers, 5 1/3 innings, 1 hit, 0 walks, 8 Ks.
  23. To ,me, playing baseball never really seemed like a passion to him. I could be way off. But after his upcoming buyout and his initial signing bonus, he will have been paid over $100 million to play baseball. I can’t see him getting more than a million or two next year with any team. Is that enough to keep him playing? I wonder if he is done with the sport.
  24. It doesn’t benefit the Sox at all if he comes back this year. I wouldn’t even waste team resources on him. Tell him to go home and if he ever feels up to giving it a shot call the Sox back. Or just release him and let him pick his own rehab. The distrust with the tam goes back a long time. I remember Lorenzo Barcelo. He was supposed to be the crown jewel in the White Flag trade. KW was calling him a p**** because he said he was injured and the team disagreed. Turned out he eventually needed elbow and shoulder surgery.
