  1. Whether they bring anyone in or not, I just hope they totally shut them down and keep them demoralized. Scoring a few runs the last couple innings may put their minds in a better place tomorrow. Kick em while they're down.
  2. AJ would be the first to say that was pitiful.
  3. OMG an Aaron Rowand sighting. Things are getting world serious.
  4. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 08:30 PM) Antonio Osuna. He's Mr. Pessimism. Maybe he's a genius using reverse psychology.
  5. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 08:29 PM) Garcia needs one more inning and we don't need to relive the Marte experience. Ozzie isn't crazy enough to put in Marte don't you think?Hopefully he is just getting some work in.
  6. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 08:23 PM) You're not a fan of Ozzie? My past posts indicate why. He was exceptional in the Boston series though, and I do appreciate the playoff performance thus far.
  7. I'm no fan of Ozzie, but I do like how he pronounces "little monkey"
  8. QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 08:20 PM) If these calls were going against us, we'd be like Angel fans That's a given, but its nice to be on this side of things for a change. I do think if we were on the other side and our offense had been performing like the Angels has been, we would be wise enough to know we would probably be losing anyway.
  9. QUOTE(fathom @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 08:18 PM) Why are we complaining about the calls so much? They missed some of them, but that happens a lot in baseball. Umps very rarely call a guy out in that Pods situation from this inning. We just have to make sure we capitalize on these breaks, and win this f***ing game. That's right. Buck and McCarver didn't question the call until they saw the replay. They never even mentioned it was close. Calls go against every team.
  10. QUOTE(SadChiSoxFanOptimist @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 08:13 PM) Colon can't pitch cause he's too damn fat. finger ! Thank God we couldn't afford him and had to settle for our top 4 : Scotty P on base again!! Looks like overcompensating for his bad back f***ed up his shoulder. His elbow isn't supposed to be in stellar shape either.
  11. Its time for the Sox to light this dope up.
  12. Crede was stealing to get in scoring position. If he gets thrown out, which he did, then Pods leads off the next inning. Its not a bad play.
  13. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 07:53 PM) Podsednik is playing flyballs like a little leaguer. I think he is having a problem with the lights.
  14. Buck is saying the non interference kept at least 1 run off the board, how does he figure? That would have loaded the bases, and Garcia fanned the next 2 guys.
  15. QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 07:44 PM) Both replays look like blown calls in our favor. If we were the Yankees, could you imagine the uproar? LOL I wish they didn't bring it up so much, but it is the story of the game. I'll bet some player or coach will go nuts after the game. What's weird is they just keep mentioning the blown calls. In the NL game there was a foul ball ruled fair that stymied a STL rally. They just said that looked like it was foul and let it go.
  16. How about everytime Rowand grounds to short you drink. On second thought you might not want to do that, you'd probably die.
  17. QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 09:17 PM) I can remember when it was vogue to post that we should trade Garland. I always knew he could be this good, the reality is, he can be better. Should of been a shut out, and I hope that the Garland realizes that he was 1 pitch away from that. SB KW did trade Garland. He luckily was then rejected by the former ownership of the Angels.
  18. QUOTE(Antonio Osuna @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 09:13 PM) We just guarenteed a Game 6 in Chicago. Huzzah. Write off tomorrow as a loss; Santana is unhittable. Let's just hope we don't let Byrd beat us twice. Hats off to Garland. I didn't think he had it in him tonight. He clearly did. I thought the Sox would really have a tough time tonight considering Lackey has been tough on them this year and had really been pitching well, and Garland had an ERA over 7.00 against them this year. This is a huge win. Go out and beat them tomorrow.
  19. 2 wins shy of a World Series appearance which ties the closest they have been in 46 years.
  20. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 09:08 PM) CALL IT, UMP!!! Garland got squeezed.
  21. Sweet Lou must of been talking to Hawk calling Pods a CFer
  22. QUOTE(fathom @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 08:57 PM) If Jenks comes in, he's going to have his work cut out for him with Figgins being a pesty first batter. I'd go with Cotts.
  23. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 08:56 PM) Let Jenks get it. He hasn't pitched since last friday No one in the bullpen has had much work which usually means you're winning which is good. But not pitching for a while usually means control problems when they come in. Eventually, they are going to be needed. Its a catch 22 situation.
  24. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 08:54 PM) If we score then Jon gets the 9th. If we dont then I think Jenks is gonna get it. Ozzie should go to the bullpen regardless. All those guys could use some work.
