  1. That last pitch was at least 6 inches outside. I don't know why Hawk and DJ are crying.
  2. QUOTE(quickman @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 08:19 PM) well if he is not throwing his back is probably stiff. Gonna be like this the rest of the year. He's warming up in the bullpen.
  3. QUOTE(GBlum27 @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 08:16 PM) Matusi destroys lefties, but I bet Ozzie knew that too. He's hitting .338 against LHP with 7 of his 17 homers in less than half the at bats. You make a great point.
  4. QUOTE(tony72 @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 08:11 PM) CREDE'S FAVORITES: MUSIC : POP Music FOOD: POP Corn BREAKFAST: POP Tarts CEREAL: Kellogs Corn POPS DRINK: Soda POP That's pretty good.
  5. Joe did get one of his pop ups tonight to go 90 ft. Thank you very much for the walk.
  6. QUOTE(winodj @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 08:08 PM) I was kinda scared of tripping in the third row of the club level. I was at a Bulls game once in the first row of the top and they were shooting t-shirts up. A woman came flying down the aisle trying to catch one and flew into the plexiglass. I thought for sure she was flying over.
  7. QUOTE(tony72 @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 08:05 PM) I have been to the cell several times in the upper deck and I am surprised it hasn't happened there and hasn't happened in baseball more often.. Most of the upper deck at USCF they would fall to the club level. Would still do a lot of damage.
  8. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 08:02 PM) I know you didn't mean anything cruel. Everyone just needs to take a step back and realize how lucky he was that he didn't die. If you've ever sat in the front row of an upper deck, it's scary as hell when you look down. Thankfully, we didn't have a horrible tragedy occur. The kid wasn't the only lucky one. Whoever he fell on would have been in bad shape too.
  9. Do you think the kid that fell is going to call his friends and tell them to watch for him on Sportscenter?
  10. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 07:55 PM) I hope so, why the hell was Bobby warming up? Maybe if he needed him later that inning. If Hermanson is healthy, he is pitching the ninth.
  11. QUOTE(winodj @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 07:50 PM) Wonder if he's gonna get arrested. Note to self: don't lean over at my next game. I doubt it. They are probably making sure he's OK, and probably want to know how it happened, like if someone pushed him.
  12. QUOTE(whitesoxmanager @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 07:49 PM) was that bartmann in NY? I don't know but he definitely looked like someone from Revenge of the Nerds.
  13. QUOTE(winodj @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 07:47 PM) s***, some kid fell out the upper deck and on to the net. Do you think George is going to send him the bill for the damage to the screen?
  14. The bullpen has to be on tonight. I knew The Count should not have entered in the eighth. If he gets a no decision, I'm going to be pissed.
  15. Considering how easy it is to run on Contreras, if anyone reaches he has to be pulled.
  16. The Sox have blown too many opportunities tonight. Usually that comes back to bite you. Hopefully, not tonight.
  17. With Politte warming right now, I would imagine the Count is going to be calling it a night.
  18. Remember when Embree was on the White Sox? God did he suck.
  19. QUOTE(AWhiteSoxinNJ @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 07:28 PM) I'm thinking the samething...he should be tossed... It has to be deemed intentional. It was not intentional.
  20. This is exactly the kind of game KW built the bullpen for. Unless the Sox put a couple runs on the board in the top half of this inning, he should go to the pen in the bottom of the eighth.
  21. That should be it for the Count. He's going to face these guys again next week and will have a lot of confidence with the way he pitched tonight.
