  1. that proposed trade which got on some financial website, mixed up the Sox and Cubs. It would be the Cubs involved, but supposedly they don't have any prospects in AAA who are ready, most of their hot prospects are in the lower leagues, and Arizona thinks it could contend next season, making that deal unlikely.
  2. cw, just so you know, colsat posted his full name at whitesox.com, and told JimH (base ball) to give him a call, saying he was in the phone book. The name he gave is slightly different than the one you posted.
  3. Is it the same name he posted yesterday? I just find it hard to believe a guy would actually post his name, and post where he lives and then post threat upon threat. All it would take to post as him is his email address and password. He hadn't posted there in months, due to an alleged heart attack. Don't you think its a coincidence he started posting again just as a guy he has never met was exposed as a fake? Its almost as hard to believe as the thought that Corg could have possiby had the position he had. Corg definitely has a keen interest in the military. Fauxie tried to post an archive of Corg, who admitted using another name, praising himself with the other name. The thread has been deleted.
  4. The people who tried to drag soxtalk in the mud over there, aren't the type of people most would want anything to do with, whether it be personally or on a message board. There was only 2 or 3 people who had anything derrogatory to say about this site. Corg was behind a couple of those characters, there may have been one that he wasn't behind, that being Colsat46, but I find it hard to believe a guy like Colsat would be threatening physical violence, so Corg might have had his email address and password, and was doing the posting. The only other one was HSC who showed what she lacks as a person in one post. I applaud JimH and quickman for this public service.
  5. If it got the Sox to a World Series, as Geddy Lee says, pay the price, don't count the cost. If they got him, they would instantly be at or near sellout levels to all the rest of their home games. They would almost be a lock for the playoffs. In the playoffs, Johnson, Garcia, and Buerhle would be very difficult to beat, even for the Yankees. If Johnson is agreeable to coming here, and KW has what the D-Backs want, and that cost doesn't just decimate the major league roster........It also would be fun to watch hitters try to adjust to Shingo's frisbee after watching the Big Unit's gas for 3 at bats.
  6. You're probably right. Its nice to dream though.
  7. As Ozzie would say, I tell you what, if the Sox got Randy Johnson for prospects, the ticket office's decade-long vacation would be over. Interest in the White Sox in this town would be at a level no one thought possible 6 months ago.
  8. No, it was the White. He said that the Yankees and Red Sox don't have the prospects to trade to Arizona. He doubts the Big Unit is going anywhere. That means that he is a lock to end up with the Yankees or Red Sox .
  9. FWIW, Gammons just said on Sportscenter that our Sox, as Hawk likes to say, are in the Randy Johnson hunt.
  10. I think its one of the biggest improvements to this board (not that it really needed any). Go Hawks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. It really is an awesome entrance. Ironically, Koch had asked for something similar, with Metalicca music, I believe. He was told they could, because of a commercial obligation. Remember the used to do those, oil or Jiffy Lube things when pitchers were changed?
  12. I am not a big fan of Valentin, but when he watches it, it goes out of the park, and usually with more than a few feet to spare. Carlos, I am a bigger fan of, but he watched a ball he thought was gone, not go. Then, days later, hits one,and watches again. The ball lands in the first row, you would have thought he might have learned something the previous time. They shouldn't do it either way, but its part of the game now.
  13. I understand your point, but they could make it an organizational policy not to post on message boards, and put that disclaimer on the site. Therefore, no one would buy stories like Corg's, even if it was quite evident by his posts he couldn't possibly be the person he claimed to be. Unfortunately, there are many on that site who post, who aren't mature enough to understand this. What if some 10 year old new Sox fan starts posting on the Sox website, and being 10 doesn't construct perfect sentences, and might have a different opinion than that nut? Corg rails into him, he cries, shows his parents, tells them Corg is a shareholder etc. Parents call the media, God, what if Corg happened to be what he said he was, and the history of his posts landed on Marriotti's lap? The organization told baseball they have had numerous complaints about him. Obviously, there has to be some sort of magic number before they do something. Your point about leaving that site is well taken. I myself rarely look at it, but am fascinated by this "outing" of a real jerk. But why should people have to leave because of one jerk? Corg should be banished at every message board he is a member, and HSC, for what she did to Steff, should be sent to her room as well. Even if Corg's BS turns only one fan away, it is one too many. I, for one, can't wait for baseball to start dropping some more bombs. You're absolutely right, the solution suggested is a little much, but, in this case, I think it may be warranted.
  14. He would have been if Ozzie hadn't had to pay homage to Koch's contract the first 50 or so games.
  15. I agree. I think danpasquasmailman or whatever his name is has a great idea. The White Sox would love to get this guy exposed as the fake he is as much as any party. Why not put a little blurb on the website saying he has nothing to do with the organization? A lot of those people will be crushed. They thought they had someone "in the know". It'll be the equivalent of finding out Santa Claus isn't real. I feel bad for Denny. His only friends in the world have never even met him.
  16. She was here last night. She admitted she read the thread, was making copies and sending them to all sorts of places. Baseball did not back off.
  17. He's posted here. He is a real tool whose primary objective it to piss you off. He has posted disgusting things to people here. He was alright if you agreed with him, but disagree, and he would not stop with the insults.
  18. baseball has stated the he or she is not Steff.
  19. Baseball, and Quickman, who both post here, although baseball has a different name that has yet to be determined, have done an investigation on NCorgbl, the most disgusting poster of all time. They have found out that he is not an investor of the White Sox as he claims. They know his first name is Denny. They know his ex wife. They have all sorts of proof from the White Sox themselves. They have more, and baseball is going to let a little leak out at a time.
  20. If he signs with the Sox, great, if he doesn't, the Sox will find someone else. 1.5 games out of first, just concentrate on this season, leave all the other crap for November.
  21. Its pretty much the same stuff that's been going on since yesterday. Only now Corg has several identities he's using to stick up for himself. There appears to be at least 3 id's that Corg is using. I don't know what the big deal is with HSC. She's calling everything a witch hunt, making threats, and allegations, saying that these guys don't know what they're talking about, when its quite obvious they do. I think the realization that yesterday wasn't just going to blow over has hit Corg and HSC, and that their status as the high priests of the mlb message boards is just about over.
  22. Thats colsat46 the Colonel. He has been away from the board for weeks, due to having a heart attack. He just got back on when the s*** hit the fan, so to say. Says he's there to defend his friend. I still think he and Corg are one and the same.
  23. It appears to be an act of desperation. HSC must have some sort of tie in to Corg.
  24. Now HSC is posting personal stuff about Steff. This is way out of line. Steff isn't even in the conversation. HSC appears to be threatening lawsuits, yet she is the one making wild accusations. There obviously is more here than meets the eye.
  25. Normally I would agree that it really doesn't matter. This guy has gone on every site claiming to be something he isn't. If he is questioned about it, he insults, not just typical insults, but insults that would make a sailor blush. If he was part of the White Sox organization, which he obviously is not, it would reflect negatively on that organization. I remember one time he posted here that he showed JR one of his insults, and JR laughed. Total baloney, as he would say. He needs to be stopped, and exposed for all to see, he is menace to the message boards, and to the White Sox. How appropriate that his name is Dennis. There are some who may still have their doubts, but very few. I have no doubt there is a military man with the name colsat46 provided on the thread today. Have you met colsat46, Corg could have just gotten this name, and used it. Corg was on another thread this morning wondering why he wastes his time. He's a joke. Corg didn't state KW was leaving until it already was posted. He just takes someone else's post he trusts, and re-words it to make it sound like he has some inside knowledge.
