The Sox failure IMO, has been their inability to develop their own. I've posted this before, the last Sox second round pick that put up at least a 2.0 WAR for the White Sox was Terry Forster. He was drafted over 50 years ago.

If that is the ultimate conclusion, the White Sox and JR should be significantly fined by MLB. for the security breach, and for not doing anything for the safety of the fans in attendance let alone the players and umpires after the shooting occurred.

I don't think you will have to worry about Clevinger. I have a hard time believing he will OK his side of the mutual option. I'm with you , I hold my nose when he pitches, but to be fair, and realize it really doesn't matter, this team would have lost several more games if they didn't sign him.

It was pretty damning for everyone. Marco Paddy is generally admired here, but giving out 7 figures to guys that don't get out of the DSL? That's Dave Wilder stuff. They hit on Robert, but we all would have hit on Robert. They hit on Tatis, but got rid of him for pure garbage. The other thing I was thinking, the rebuild,, although failed, did net the Sox Robert. No way JR shells out the cash plus penalty if he was spending money half assed trying to win.
