  1. It probably has to do with TA;s history of suspensions, and of the umpire report that probably confirmed he was the one who suggested duking it out. That said, I do agree, 6 to 3 seems a bit unfair. Now the interesting part. Is TA in the line up, or is he just going to sit and not appeal? If he's sitting, he's got a concussion.
  2. Pedro talked a great game at his press conference, but executed none of it. Absolutely, none of it.
  3. Loving players is not unconditional. All the posters who criticize others for falling out of love with TA are more than likely, hypocrites. They have fallen out of love or changed opinions of people after certain actions many times. The White Sox we love unconditionally. We are just very mad at them now.
  4. There's a lot of truth here. Many people do what they can get away with.
  5. Someone with a conscience. They won't quit today. They wouldn't let Middleton and Lynn basically show them the door. But something should have happened by now. There probably is even worse things being kept quiet.
  6. Just like with a regular job, I'm sure everyone here has worked with a slacker who for some reason, usually brown nosing, is so in with the higher ups, you can't win. You do all the work, they get most of the credit. It wouldn't surprise me if these guys see others who are not held accountable, and since management doesn't treat them all as a team, can't really speak up without causing more issues.
  7. Why can't anyone have the decency to resign? Rick? Kenny? Pedro? Chris?
  8. Still doesn't explain his over 6.00 ERA, but adds to Keynans credibility. If this doesn't bury anyone, nothing will.
  9. This article destroys any credibility Pedro and his crack coaching staff had. I still cannot believe no one has lost their job yet.
  10. I do know JR hates long hair thats why Kopech when he had it, and now Clevinger have it in ponytails. As for beards, who cares, but I think JR requires them to at least be trimmed. Back in the day, JR outlawed corn rows on the Bulls, but then signed Ben Wallace, and said it would be OK for him to have them. To me, that's not good.
  11. Quite the opposite. He's actually well respected. Anyone saying that is just trying to look the other way, just like with Ramirez the other night. Calling him a punk. He's a quiet guy. That was his first ever ejection. TA almost got ran before the game even started.
  12. Wasn't last year and this year supposed to be part of the multiple championships?
  13. It's nothing new to this group. That's why if your not going to change the group, you have to change the dynamic, and make them be on time, do all the drills, do all the stretching etc.
  14. There are rules in every grown up business. Middleton's problem was there was no consequence for skipping or arriving late to drills. It was all OK. No consequences for sleeping in the bullpen. And that was the pitchers. He insinuated the position players were far worse. Obviously, these players should have enough pride to do what ever they can to make themselves as prepared as possible. But many do not. Many are the product of being babied and placed on a pedestal their entire lives because they were good at baseball. It's probably why the quote about having your best players be your hardest workers, makes everything a lot easier comes into play here.
  15. I don't think any Sox fan wants him to crash and burn. I do think there is a growing number wanting him to be someone else's problem.
  16. What about these things he is posting? I really wonder if he's bipolar or something. He wasn't like this before. He took some disadvantaged kids to KC and visited the Negro Museum. He did a lot of other things as well. Maybe his wife was the driver of these things. But now? You wouldn't want your kid reading his posts.
  17. While I have no doubt injuries have been a huge part of it, TA admitted his off the field issues have affected his play.
  18. IDK, where do you draw the line? If he's a wife beater? Obviously, if we cancelled every player that has ever cheated on his wife, there would be hardly anyone left. I just hate the brazen way he's gone about it. It's not only disrespecting his wife with all the photos on social media, it also affects or will eventually affect his kids. You want to have an affair, be discreet. TA came across as a guy who wanted to be a role model, and did a lot of charitable things back in the day. Now he's just being a selfish guy who apparently thinks providing funds is the one responsibility he has as a husband and father. All I know is if I was neighbors and friends with the Andersons, my wife wouldn't let me hang with TA ever again.
  19. Should have known. He's team Pedro. I guarantee he's read the article. It's funny, he and Jason were just gushing about Middleton the other night.
  20. At the very least, there will be token changes. Pitchers will have to show up for PFP. No more sleeping in the bullpen....won't make a difference this year. Bring in a team that demands accountability.
  21. It's weird, sometimes he carries the water, especially on twitter, and other times, he sort of blasts them. And the Score is the place he blasts them since it isn't their flagship.
  22. I thought the whole article was pretty damning toward Pedro. Then I remember both Hahn and KW gushing over Pedro saying he was even more than they thought he'd be. This team is a total disaster.
  23. I get that, but no rules? Middleton is a fairly lousy pitcher, but a really respected guy. If he says there are no rules, there are no rules. Pedro has to go with Hahn, KW, Chris Getz, Hostetler, and few more.
  24. His IL stint last year were the caution lights, a sharp curve is coming. If the cancer had anything to do with it, who knows. But this was going to happen no matter what.
