  1. The Braves are what the White Sox were supposed to be.
  2. According to Nightengale, Pedro’s predecessor, Tony, also had cancer.
  3. It’s always been the case. People give Yaz s%*# but he and Seby have the same CS rate over the last 3 years. Most of the time, Johnny Bench in his prime has no chance.
  4. When they struggled controlling the zone on the offensive side of the ball, we heard they were all learning a system and it was going to get better. It didn’t get better. The team, almost 100 games , is still ill prepared. Nothing has been better. He can give subtle call outs all he wants, but they need to have an effect. They never do. He seems like a fine man, and a nice guy to have on a staff, but he is not a major league manager. A Peter Principle guy.
  5. When he has any semblance of command he is a starter, and a good one. When he does not, he is not useful in any way. Why would not making it through an inning make people think he’s a good reliever? He’s gone through this before, hopefully he can turn it around. I also hope it isn’t because he’s hurt a lot worse than thought.
  6. With this quote he admits they are not prepared. And they game after this quote, they seemed even less prepared. That’s his job. He has failed. Time to move on.
  7. The reason the Sox suck isn’t Pedro Grifol. But, and I was very impressed with his introductory press conference when hired, he’s all talk. The team isn’t prepared. They were still on break last night. They don’t hustle. They don’t control the zone like we were told they will on both sides of the ball. In fact, they are one of baseballs worst. He has no guts to put TA in a different slot I’m the order. His bullpen usage is wacky. Hitters seem like they never have read a scouting report or looked at video at way too many pitchers. The best manager in the world may have this team in contention because they only have to be around .500. It’s rather obvious Pedro is in over his head. What exactly does he bring that Ricky Renteria did not? A competent front office would let him go at the end of the season. A competent owner would let the GM go by now. I have the feeling they all will be back next year. If they are and somehow put together a team that should be decent, Pedro’s bad managing will be a reason they failed. Just another in a long line of JR, KW, RH mistakes.
  8. We’re going to control the strike zone on both sides of the ball.
  9. It’s shocking where TA is now. This guy won a batting title. Now he looks like a guy they pulled from the stands to take a few cuts. Tonights game may be ugly.
  10. So if this is accurate, the White Sox have had 2 7 game winning streaks the last 10.5 seasons. FIRE RICK HAHN
  11. 6 home games before April 4th. Geniuses.
  12. Apparently they were high school sweethearts. It's too bad, but at least there are no kids in the middle.
  13. Please respect their privacy at this very difficult time.
  14. I agree. I have no problem with them drafting SS. If they drafted 6 SS and they all could play, unlike other positions, they could find a spot for them. CF could play either corner. C and P are obvious.
  15. The great thing about drafting SS is that most, if they can play SS, can play anywhere except P and C. Although, a guy like TA, would be a good C.
  16. The last White Sox 2nd round pick that put up over 2 career WAR for them was Terry Forster drafted over 50 years ago.
  17. A summer Saturday afternoon crowd of 26,000 on Luis Robert bobblehead day worries the crap out of them. Especially with how Cardinals fans travel.
  18. Is TA just playing hurt, or is he done? He is about as awful as anyone in the sport.
  19. White Sox pitchers have fanned 14 or more in 8 games this year. They have lost every game.
  20. Normally I would agree with you, but this has a different feel. I dropped out after last season. I know a few who gave it one more shot. During the rebuild and most of the time they were mired in mediocrity, they treated their season ticketholders like royalty. No more. Now they think they are doing you the favor by selling you tickets to watch their AAA product. I think 1.3 to 1.4 is not only possible but probable unless they make some really popular changes. No one has any trust in this front office. Even their boy Bob is taking his shots saying it was the shortest contention window of all time.
  21. I read Everett Teaford, White Sox minor league pitching coordinator left to coach at Auburn. I'm not thinking he was the problem.
  22. The Sox had one of the biggest attendance drops year to year from last year to this year. Next year will be worse. A lot of people were hanging on thinking it was all LaRussa's fault. They will go. JR will trim payroll even more.
  23. Phil Jackson called it the Last Dance at Grant Park celebrating the Bulls 6th championship. People panicked but held out hope Phil was mistaken and they would give it another go until someone showed they could beat them. It wasn't to be. Phil was right, it was over. Who knew on the October night back in 2021 when Leury Garcia hit one over the CF wall to lead the White Sox to victory, avoiding a first round sweep, that it was the White Sox last dance. Please fire these dopes today.
