I am a little perplexed as to why when the ball doesn't seem to be carrying as much this year that the White Sox would continue to play so deep. This organization has now become arrogant, lazy and stupid and will sit back and blame injuries once again. Get me some Josh Harrison. Fuck this. Poor defense can be covered up by striking everyone out like last year. They are not going to be doing that with Lambert, VV, Keuchel and eventually Cueto rolling out there. The fact that Abreu and Anderson seem to have zero interest in competing this year adds to the heaping pile of shit that is the 2022 Chicago White Sox.

Greinke is going to throw off-speed stuff all afternoon and chilly White Sox will swing away and away and away Anderson and Abreu will bobble a few and the song will remain the same. Why young pitching is good

Keuchel sucks but he is far down on the list of issues with this team.

If money were not an option you would be correct. Cueto's salary is not guaranteed, Keuchel's is.

Keuchel is being paid whether he pitches or not so he is pitching until a better option is found. Lynn replaces VV and maybe someone replaces Keuchel but that is not happening any time soon.

High School umpiring is running low for the reason you state and also because the travel games are paying good money. A 12U travel game for $120 or high school game for $85? Parents are killing all officiating.
