June 13th Game Thread - Chicago @ Los Angeles
Harry Chappas replied to Heads22's topic in 2023 Season in Review
I really don't get why Burger hasn't passed him on 1B depth chart. It's the same front office that drafted both. I'm out already. Planning to awake to a 7-1 loss. -
Totally forgot about Eloy.....he was abetter option in the 9th
-
As I sit and stew I realize they hit fir Zavala who could accidently run into one but Elvis.....both are bad hitters but one just homered twice in Game. They really are morons. In the 8th I posted about not scouting your own team. This seems to be another instance. They have ZERO baseball IQ.
-
The Soler AB in the 9th is the killer. Had a huge zone and still could get a strike. Bummer has looked good lately I thought he'd have been good for the 8th.
-
Combined exit velocity maybe 150 MPH total distance maybe 180 feet. Simply pathetic Why not hit Anderson for Elvis if he is your "leadoff" hitter. Elvis is hitting .199 Segura first HR of season Brutal series
-
Here come three shitty at bats that will take 2 minutes tops.
-
Great job going around Soler this pathetic...getting beat by a Jean Segura HR
-
I'm blaming less and less on Grifol and more on players
-
This has gone from painful....to joy....to abysmal in no time at all.
-
This is going to sound idiotic and is certainly hindsight but this organization can't seem to scout its own team. Middleton had a bit of a rough day but he's more consistent then Kelly and was a closer many moons ago. Bummer with three good infielders should have thrown the 8th. I actually think Burger should play first before Vaughn when Burger plays. Now Gravemen is about to blow a lead as they give up HRs at will. Death by a 1000 cuts
-
Looked at not one but two strikes right down the middle.
-
Lord have mercy this offense is as bad as I recall. Completely lifeless.
-
There is nothing he can do to make the lineup better. Every one of these hitters are the same. About average with nothing special on a consistent basis. All subject to look incredibly bad v any pitcher at any time.

Is it coaching or is the group just uncoachable. -
That's a White Sox Walk Off Winner !
Harry Chappas replied to CaliSoxFanViaSWside's topic in Pale Hose Talk
People need to stop worrying about the s%*# division. The White Sox have had many years with great teams and nothing to show as far as making it to the post season. They have a terrible approach to hitting but if they can get hotish and stay in it I'll buy in. I cannot stand watching Anderson play any longer, he does nothing well. He has regressed in every aspect of the game. The 9th inning at bat was disgusting. He got an ideal pitch to ground out weakly to first but missed...he shouldn't have swung but my God he is just a bad baseball player now. -

There is not a single hitter on this team that has a plan at the plate....Hawk said it best a bad plan is better then no plan at all. -
