QUOTE (kapzk @ May 29, 2011 -> 01:41 PM) I don't understand why Peavy didn't start today especially vs the righty heavy Jays. Because this team is pretty unorganized when it comes to doing anything other than going with their gut. Danks should have pitched yesterday instead of Floyd and Peavy today. I know there are routines and we can not expect guys to go out of their norm and thus we will go to Boston having lost three straight. Boston has DH today so the Sox should make their pitcher work tomorrow. You know the starter whoever throw no extra pitches. I cannot wait until the heavy road schedule begins to be talked about. This season ended with the 1-6 home stand.

Danks does not have the control of his pitches and is a solid #3 or #4 because of it.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 29, 2011 -> 12:50 PM) And if I am Ozzie, Danks is throwing 100 pitches no matter what. Numbers be damned. 120 like the rest of the starters. There is an off day this week so the 6 man rotation is not needed. The advanced scouting of the White Sox is an area that is never addressed but it is f'ing brutal as was pointed out by Adam Dunn. When Danks pissed down his leg in early April against Oakland I had a feeling this season was not headed in the right direction for him. Send Sale down to start and put Danks in the pen until something is done with Jackson. Finally, Danks should have been skipped as the Jays tattoo LHP.

That Jeff Gray move looks even more odd as he was doing exactly what they wanted Pena to do. Now the Sox are saying they are not happy with Pena when he has been ineffective for over two years.

Games won by the White Sox on 5/26/11 = 1

I will say this for Pierre he at least is getting on base more and is having the exact same season he always seems to have. Wish a good amount of other guys could say the same. -
Hopefully the Sox play well and I can watch MLB Network non-stop for sports

The officiating is as brutal as always and it makes the NBA a joke in my book. I am glad Jordan was a Bull

Makes up for yesterday when they should of won -
The White Sox are fine and need not worry about the standings. Carlos Santana is doing about as well as Beckham. 4-5 or 5-4 and they are set up well for the summer. Should the offense wake up, they will be just fine.

Crappy game to lose as the pitching was excellent. Oddly the two games they hold the Rangers offense down, they lose. This team would be a serious contendor if the offense could ever get going. It is amazing how bad they are at situational hitting. -

With Feliz control issues Dunn would be a good idea for Rios should a man get on... oh wait. -

QUOTE (chw42 @ May 25, 2011 -> 03:33 PM) In a situation that would have wasted Dunn anyways, bringing in Vizquel in that situation is a no-brainer. Right, you waste McPherson to get Oliver in to face Omar and Dunn is available for later in the game -

That was the worst piece of managing since the hit-and-run with Dunn at home a couple of games back. Dunn is not a situational small ball hitter yet the Ozeroo thinks he is. Managers are suppossd to put their players in the best poistion to succeed Guillne seems to get hem into the best position to fail McPherson than Vizquel is the right situation there as now McPherson is in the game anyway and Vizquel is the only bat on the bench. Tony Pena...seriously Guillen really does not care about this game. -

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 25, 2011 -> 03:11 PM) It sucks, but you can't get doubled up on that play. Not to mention that is AJ out there running. That is where the sac bunt is not really benefical there as you do not have the speed to score from second on the hit or on a short fly ball. -

QUOTE (fathom @ May 25, 2011 -> 03:10 PM) With how beat up our bullpen is, you play for the win. That is, unless you want to make Humber pitch in relief. The pen only went one inning each. They should all be available. -

QUOTE (fathom @ May 25, 2011 -> 02:00 PM) 2 runs is nothing if you want to beat Texas. Offense has to be consistent against these strong opponents, as our pitching isn't going to hold them down. The problem is the offense is so inconsistent. CJ Wilson has 5 K's through 3 innings so at least he is throwing a good amount of pitches. The Sox really can give an entire game away liek they did Monday. I understand ther are good pitchers but some games they do not even give themselves a chance. Floyd is all over the place although Beckham cost him that inning. -

Mitch Moreland certainly makes a pitcher work and fouls off a ton of pitches until he gets one he likes. He had a ten pitch at-bat last night -

The win last night makes this game a nice one to win but no great shakes if you lose. It gets this trip going in the right direction though. -

Dunn had a good night last night. Maybe this is more to give Quentin a little rest from the field but to keep his bat in there. -
Rios with a nice game and Ohman looked good as well. Pena is absolutly worthless. The Rangers were taking batting practice against him. Those were the situations Gray held his own in. The Sox are lucky nobody was killed, literally, that inning. Hawk's head would have exploded if Hamilton scored on that good awful call at third in the 8th. That was NBA bad. Sergio looked really good, Thorton and Sale.........throw strikes Dunn worked over Arthur for a walk Gordon..........looked bad. The leadoff man for the Rangers was walked in the 5th, 6th, 7th & 8th I believe which made it frustrating to watch at 1:00 in the morning. Sergio with one ofthe more odd tag plays in teh 9th but it was a very easy inning for him compared to the previous 5. The man is getting it done.

Rangers middle relief is terrible it would be nice to try and get it in
