QUOTE (fathom @ May 11, 2011 -> 10:42 PM) For 5 million a year and playing twice a week, you'd think he'd have enough energy to hustle down the first base line instead of reaching first in about 7 seconds. the dude is fat and out shape what do you want he looks like he put on a good 20 pounds takes a while to adjust to being fat -

teahen is almost as big a waste of player as pierre is. he is guaranteed to foul a pitch off to the left and then hit a seven hopper -

QUOTE (fathom @ May 11, 2011 -> 10:32 PM) 1 for 15 with RISP and 2 outs for Mr. Rios. He is such a non-factor this season. He fits right in with the rest of this line-up. When things are not going right nothing is done to adjust. All Chatwood is doing is throwing the ball down when the runner is on and watching the White Sox pound the ball into the dirt -

QUOTE (fathom @ May 11, 2011 -> 10:30 PM) Something that is scary is how little power we have in our lineup this year outside of the middle of the order. all of baseball is like this. The game is changing -

QUOTE (fathom @ May 11, 2011 -> 10:27 PM) If he gets the win tonight, he owes Alexei and Teahen a steak dinner. Danks looked better last night and a team of professional hitters handed him his ass. This is why I can not get excited about this team. No change in the approach at all swing from the heels and hope the wind is blowing out. -

QUOTE (Andrew @ May 11, 2011 -> 10:22 PM) LOL - I've been watching the Yankees/Royals (I live in NY). $ can't fix this, apparently. Yankees have like 12 Hs. Royals have 3. Tied 3-3 and in the 11th.... But, the Yanks at least f***ing hit... The bottom of he 10th was the epitome of what I am saying. -

QUOTE (Heads22 @ May 11, 2011 -> 10:22 PM) Paulie and Dunn do, but that's it. PK's had really good at bats this year. And that was a great inning for Jake. They do not need to as they are power guys it is the Rios, Beckham, AJ, Ramirez guys that need to and they are incapable of it. This game is looking to settle into a nice 6-2 loss -

QUOTE (fathom @ May 11, 2011 -> 10:19 PM) I hate that Juan isn't able to steal in "easy" steal situations. Even average runners are usually able to steal 2nd with a high success rate when there's a runner on 3rd also. Ramirez did not let he at-bat last long enough. The pitch he hit to third should have been pulled foul although the two prior to that should have been crushed. The White Sox do not have a hitter that can make a pitcher work -

really, adjust how you approach an at-bat f***ing morons 9 baserunners in 4 innings and not even a threat of a rally -

Anybody have the White Sox record when they do not score first? -

Until the White Sox decide to get hitters that learn to adjust to he count and what the pitcher is throwing they will remain a team that does not strike out but continue to weakly put he ball in play on good pitchers pitches. If you have a 2-0 count you do not need to swing at knee high pitch on the black. Pierre really sucks. -
QUOTE (bigruss22 @ May 11, 2011 -> 02:24 PM) This is what will make you give up?? Jeff Gray isn't worth giving up anything for, much less your interest in the team. I meant giving up on actually thinking this team's plans are well thought out. I gave up on them when they went 1-5 on the last homestand and made no adjustments.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 11, 2011 -> 09:17 AM) Depends on their actual finances. With expiring contracts this year, and that teams marketing machine, they could still be making money this year. Forbes thinks they made $25.5 million last year, before interest/debt payments. The debt payments are roughly $32M annually The stadium upkeep is another drain The marketing machine is not what it used to be no Sammy and no pennant chase Starlin is cooling off as well The rose colored glasses are getting foggy up there.

If gray is out of thir organization and pena is still around, I give up. Pena is utterly worthless. In all actuality neither really has an impact on the club as this team does not come back from being down runs in a game so their job is really worthless see last night's game for example.

Danks has the worst ERA of all of the starters. He is a six inning pitcher, can not put hitters away and has average control. His average innings per start is almost exactly 6.0. I am not sure why he is guaranteed a spot in the rotation over anyone as he is wildly inconsistent. He is a nice number three pitcher.

and they are 3-4.
