2011 NFL Lockout Thread
Harry Chappas replied to HuskyCaucasian's topic in A and J's Olde Tyme Sports Pub
QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ May 9, 2011 -> 03:38 PM) I understand that point of view, but you also have to understand that simply by taking that stance, you're going to seem like an obvious steroid user. I agree that they have to make the agreement ironclad so that the use of the blood testing doesn't take a big turn against the players (such as the finding of a disease that may cause a player to be cut or not signed again once he hits free agency). Not being a smartass here but has there ever been an instance where a player was released after sustaining something that would have been revealed in a blood test? I would actually think that a blood test is part of the physical a player takes and HGH is not tested. With the physical nature of their sport wouldn't it be good to know exactly what the health status is of a player when drafted and signed? -
I wish soneone would teach this team that when there is a runner on, the pitcher is going to keep the ball down to induce a double play. He may even throw it low and away. In either case rolling your hands over to hit a ground ball is not really ideal.

nba officiating is an utter disgrace although noah and boozer can't stop anyone

Eric Wedge's decision to extend his pitcher almost was as bad as guillen's Friday. Should have been a sweep.

Nice showing tonight but I can't help but be a little ticked that the Indians are beating Weaver.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 6, 2011 -> 11:45 PM) I'd be down with all of those moves. there really is no reason why there is not a platoon at catcher. -

QUOTE (fathom @ May 6, 2011 -> 11:29 PM) Thornton's fastball isn't popping as much this inning. he is at 30 pitches and has thrown a whole 10 innings the last 5 weeks I think guillen just wants to end this game .243 for cust .200 for wilson yep that should be enough to end the gaem -

QUOTE (fathom @ May 6, 2011 -> 11:28 PM) I love the low fastball pitch. We never learn I really do not think the White Sox have advance scouts or recall anything outside of the current series they are playing. -

QUOTE (Real @ May 6, 2011 -> 11:27 PM) walk off is coming this inning, don't fight it, it'll be far less painful if you just know it's coming only question is how easy the sox make it on them -

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 6, 2011 -> 11:11 PM) No, he shouldn't. He's done his part so far. But the Sox aren't going with a 6-man rotation and they sure as hell aren't putting Peavy in the bullpen. right because they think they have a chance this year hey .218 figgins with a double -

QUOTE (fathom @ May 6, 2011 -> 11:01 PM) He should be I was being scarcastic. Humber will be removed from the rotation because this team thinks they have a shot at willing. The rest of this inning will show why they do not both offensively and in the bottom of the 8th -

I gotta say the Mariners offense is as bad as there is in baseball except for Smoak and Ichiro The White Sox have never heard the phrase do not xyz player beat you. There is no way Humber can be moved from the rotation. I understand why he will but this team needs to grow talent and he is showing he can pitch. -

It really is time for him to go. He will intentionally walk someone down 5 runs but trying to hold a lead..... He has never had a bench coach and thus in game decision making is that of a 5 year old.
