  1. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ May 3, 2011 -> 03:02 PM) Why do I get the feeling this is the game that turns Liriano's season around? called it though not hard to do
  2. regardless of the outcome throwing 120 pitches in this weather is not good for the arm. Ask Kerry Wood again something needs to be done
  3. Why do I get the feeling this is the game that turns Liriano's season around?
  4. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 3, 2011 -> 09:15 AM) JJ Putz? Andruw Jones? MARK KOTSAY? Guys keep coming back because they get paid. you really think they wanted to retain Jones and Kotsay?
  5. If the clubhouse is such a trainwreck with the Ozzie's and AJ's why do guys keep coming back, the nice weather?.....who was the last Sox player that left that the Sox wanted to retain?
  6. I can see the Sox going 25-5 against Cleveland and KC if their starting pitchers lives up to their potential. I could also see them going 12-18. This team is way to inconsistent.
  7. The stolen base in the third started the scoring. Guillen will think that is bigger than it actually may have been. The fact Pierre can not steal a base is killing that aspect of the Sox game. Sale needs to be sent down to start and regain his confidence they do not need three lefties if Thorton is not closing as Crain is as good as any leftie they have against LHH. Ohman is also doing a good job. Mark's ERA is 4.37 maybe he ain't dead yet.
  8. Buehrle's fastball and change have a four MPH difference he is making it work again though
  9. BABIP is a good stat if the BIP are not infield pop ups.
  10. QUOTE (Paint it Black @ May 2, 2011 -> 08:08 PM) I completely disagree on Danks being an NL pitcher. He was good stuff and if he had a solid D behind him and ever had any run support would win 20 games. Gavin Floyd...now that's another story. In my opinion Danks is not efficient enough to work in the AL. Good thing Quentin is hitting behind Konerko.
  11. QUOTE (Andrew @ May 2, 2011 -> 07:59 PM) Meh, not missing much, bud. O's in scoring position every inning; Buehrle getting away with his soft tossing magic so far. Sporting a nice WHIP of 2.0 today. He really is an NL pitcher as is John Danks.
  12. Looks like cubs attendance is not getting better. How is this a good idea especially against he Cardinals? http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/news/press_rel...sp&c_id=chc
  13. I have been to 7 home games this year. I put my money where my mouth this. This team sucks. It is f***ing terrible. This is the same thing they did last year. Thus it needs to be addressed. It cost them last year and looks to be happening again. Nobody is held accountable for their their actions on this team. At a minimum Morel should be at AAA and Pena should be released. Those are no brainers.
  14. The game today was like a morgue. It really is sad that this team in a two week span has rendered itself irrelevant. That place will be empty all summer as this team is not fun to watch at all.
  15. QUOTE (Real @ Apr 29, 2011 -> 10:18 PM) If Walker gets canned, Cooper needs to get the f*** out too. Pitching has been HORRIBLE. The pitching is not the issue. This team literally can not score runs.
  16. Konerko Dunn and Quentin 0-10 John Danks is a six inning pitcher that is about it for the White Sox. Sad that Detroit and Minnesota are just as bad.
  17. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 29, 2011 -> 08:46 PM) Way better contact being made tonight. Sure but he results are about the same
  18. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 29, 2011 -> 08:44 PM) Goodness, just one of those games. It is no different than any other game.
  19. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 29, 2011 -> 08:39 PM) what a break and they can't cash in
  20. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 29, 2011 -> 08:36 PM) Goodness, 4 straight rockets. Beckham will break that streak. I bet Pierre tries to bunt.
  21. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 29, 2011 -> 08:36 PM) It will be interesting if they shut him down for a while due to the toe injury. It might be something where he decides to rest it now instead of play the entire year with it. He injured it last year. What did they do over the offseason with it?
  22. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 29, 2011 -> 08:34 PM) I'm not saying he's not a good pitcher, but it's a tough call if you pay him as a #1 pitcher in the open market. He is a good pitcher but not consistent enough for the money he is going to get paid. I hope Rios is hurting or it is going to be a long year. Sox only have 4 hits by the way.
  23. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Apr 29, 2011 -> 08:30 PM) Danks is really good. He might be having a bad game, but every year he goes deeper into games. Guy is one of the best lefties in all of baseball. He struggles too often to get through six innings. He is not economical enough with his pitches and works deep into way too many counts.
