  1. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Oct 6, 2010 -> 10:03 AM) They crushed Miami with Moss making 0 receptions. Sure, the DB's still had to focus on Moss despite 0 catches, but I think New England's offense will do just fine. They have some nice TE's to go with Welker as well as some up and coming young wide-outs. The depth of the Pats roster speaks for itself year after year. I am sure they will be fine.
  2. There really is something cool about it. Now we get the prerecorded stylings which I am not a fan of.
  3. Whatever happened to Dan Evans? Remember him, he was Rick Hahn before Rick Hahn was cool. I like Hahn but do not think KW is giving up his job for him just yet.
  4. QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ Oct 2, 2010 -> 06:51 PM) That makes sense. Wish I could be there. No u don't it freezing out here
  5. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Oct 1, 2010 -> 05:06 AM) Yup, a bit dissapointed with Gemma getting all this plot in SOA, what is she banging the producer or what! What is funny is at work I read Entertainment Weekly when I am on the can and the article about the SOA talked about how Gemma got the job. I get the feeling this show may not last long with the way it is going. I am not interested in the dramatic stylings of outlaws....I watch Desperete Housewives for this.
  6. JR will find the money for PK if the budget is an option.
  7. Leaping Larry's sells top shelf electronics
  8. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 29, 2010 -> 03:42 PM) I highly doubt that KW ever indicated rebuilding was coming up. He has never said that, and in fact has always said that its something he and the Sox just don't do. I'd like to see this quote. Cowley said that they are making an all out run at it next year and then they will go from there. He felt that AJ, Jenks and Konerko would be let go but the money would be reinvested into the team.
  9. He had been slumping and the average was going down. Maybe Guillen wanted to make certain he hit over .300 for the year so he could command more in free agency.
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 29, 2010 -> 12:15 PM) He hasn't hit 200 innings since 2007 though. His injuries may be freak ones...but those are starting to add up. Freak injuries are the essence of being injury prone. Players that are not injury prone do not get injured covering first base and such.
  11. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 29, 2010 -> 11:50 AM) I'll bet money the Sox offer him a 1 year deal, maybe with a 2nd year team option, for about what he's been making the last few years, and AJ will jump at it because he won't get anything better elsewhere. This also allows Flowers to get back on track in AAA. And I think that's the right path. I agree. There are no other options out there. Sure get rid of AJ and get.......oh ya drop $40M/4yr on Victor Martinez. I agree that AJ may end up overpaid but what real choice do the Sox have? Miguel Olivo??? Tyle rFlowers????? Seriously who is the option?
  12. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Sep 29, 2010 -> 10:45 AM) Pick #15 is protected, pick #17 is not. It actually is very important. Only if you think the team will sign a Type A free agent. If Konerko and AJ are Type A, offered arbitration and leave then the Sox get extra picks anyway.
  13. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Sep 29, 2010 -> 10:20 AM) Can I ask a question of ignorance here? What percentage of game attendees use the L or city buses? The driving to the lakefront is a pain in the ass and parking would be limited that is why where they are at is the best scenario access from all major highways leads there.
  14. Watched Eastbound & Down and SOA last night. Thought both were pretty good. SOA was getting tedious and soap operaish with Gemma's dad. I hope they pick it up a little here as the whole adding in unnecessary twists like the medication thing was pointless. The Jimmy line looks to be going good but the whole frustration over finding Abel is getting old quick. Resolving the Gemma thing will be good as well.
  15. I have enjoyed simply watching the White Sox stressfree for the last week as they close out the summer and baseball season. Last night was a great game. I understand losing to get a higher pick but I only back that theory if you are in a lottery opportuntiy or in the top 5 to 7 picks. Losing games to go from 17 to 15 is a losers mentality. Also I wonder if Guillen hits Dayan for Kotsay in that same situation in a meaningful game. It was a great ending.
  16. QUOTE (J.Reedfan8 @ Sep 28, 2010 -> 03:24 PM) It is more bulls*** that Barker wasn't on it (he was traded much earlier) more-so than Johnsson who barely played. Nick Leddy is the only one who is not making that trade look awful thankfully. Feel bad for Cam. I'm also glad to see the guy who built the team (and should get more recognition) get what he deserves in Dale Tallon. I thought the fact hat I couldn't remember his name was indication enough that I was not serious..
  17. On the SCORE this mornign they were talking about how the Bears kept Harris over Alex Brown because they felt Brown would be a rabble rouser when it came to the players union....ya that is good move. The Bears need to just realize that Tommie Harris is not good anymore and be done with it. Haynesworth is a headcase but at least he still may have talent. Harris is just injured and bad.
  18. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 28, 2010 -> 12:48 PM) The cat they traded Cam Barker for did not make it...that's BS.
  19. In the first half there were at least three holding calls that were not made. The clothesline on Peppers was one of them. The Packers are not going to get te benfit of the doubt and as was pointed out is part of how they play. Melton's roughing was a joke call.
  20. Maybe he told them he would come back only if Guillen was back.........I see no reason to address the media if he intends on testing the market which we all know means leaving.
  21. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 27, 2010 -> 05:06 PM) You have to wonder how low the TV ratings will be tonight for the Sox game? Easily lower than the game the Sox played on the night the Hawks won the Stanley Cup. I wonder how many no shows there will be.
  22. QUOTE (JPN366 @ Sep 24, 2010 -> 03:14 PM) If that Jim Belushi/Jerry O'Connell show is a hit, then we can officially say that Hell has frozen over and the world is ending. According to Jim was on for like 7 years or something like that and once Courtney Thorne whatever and Brad Paisley's wife were no longer easy on the eyes the show went downhill from there. Same thing with George Lopez.
  23. QUOTE (ChWRoCk2 @ Sep 24, 2010 -> 01:06 PM) I don't think I have ever been disappointed by a Big Bang episode, they continue to produce solid episodes. It really is a great show. Also going back to the SOA locale thing. Didn't it say in the show where they were as soon as Cam knocked on the door? I always knew he was there and the other things were leading the Sons to that place.
