  1. Alexi Ramirez second ab was as bad of an AB that you will see. Steve Stone agreed this morning that Ramirez has a very low baseball IQ.
  2. mark grudzalaniek was released by the Indians..... He should be brought to replace Nix who is abysmal.
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 09:44 PM) They would never offer him arb. Better chance they give him a 2 year extension than arb. Why not, he does not make that much. If he accepts, ink a two year deal. If he declines take the draft picks, put the ball in his court for PR sake. Flowers is not pushing anyone at this point.
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 09:42 PM) I actually agree, and it's more likely he gets traded in a month or so. They will not get the return for him. I think they offer arbitration. Flowers is making the choice to not trade him easy at this point.
  5. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 09:38 PM) Lillibridge wasn't a very fundamentally good hitter when we saw him last year either. Before the balk the situation called for a bunt. Ramirez can not bunt, Lillibridge can.
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 09:38 PM) If this was AJP's last game, I want to say that his pitch calling this series was absolutely phenomenal. See NL hitters comment a page earlier
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 09:34 PM) It's always fun watching our approach in Backe in Game 4. Here is my problem with the 9th. If Ramirez is up there to bunt then why no PH Lillibridge to bunt as Ramirez is as fundamentally as bad a hitter as there is in baseball. It just sucks that chad tracey beat them.
  8. Nice game, nice series glad we were not no hit. The cubs suck. Beckham and Quentinare not getting any beter and Nix and Jones should be DFA'd. There is no way Lilly should have dominated.
  9. after the balk, Kotsay should have come in to hit ramirez timing was f***ed up all night.
  10. Sad that Gavin puts in two great efforts with no offense at all.
  11. I was watching this game at friends house and just got home and all I have to say is that the approach that this team is taking, they deserve to be no hit. Jason Nix is terrrible. He is on this team to hit this type of pitcher. Quentin and Beckham are not far behind. All they need to do sit back and take him to RF not overswing on the 87 MPH high fastball and pop up either 50 feet or 280 feet.
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 07:22 PM) Looks like either a back, hip, or groin injury with Gavin. His hip most likely
  13. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 07:13 PM) Not a very lively park tonight, which really benefits Lilly. and Floyd
  14. Win tonight they are 6.5 out..........they are getting me again...which is a good thing
  15. That was the third day in a row that Jenks had pitched. Floyd pitched as good as the other four. You take out the Thorton game and they could have won 5 in a row with three of them coming by scoring 3 runs or less.
  16. Sox have a better record than the cubs and look manageable to watch.
  17. Peavy looking good. The offense of this team while not showing up in the numbers is becoming markedly better than last year to the naked eye. I guess Rios like Quentin 2 years ago can do this. I am leaving work to fight the Chicago traffic....godspeed Sox fans.
  18. See this is wher Konerko should bunt...I know he won't and he could as easily hit a three run shot but I just want to make sure we get one of these in. Just do not try a double steal here...or hit into a DP
  19. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 11, 2010 -> 02:58 PM) I've never seen a change go sideways. Maybe it is a slurve. Freddy is getting pitches to do some odd things. Maddux used to get this as well.
  20. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 11, 2010 -> 02:54 PM) What is that 78 mph pitch? It moves like a slider, but it is 10 mph slower. Change up or sluve I would assume?
  21. and Wells is settled in. All he is going to do is throw sliders off of the corner and watch the Sox swing from their heels and flail away.
