Not watching the game but the wind is blowing out at about 20 - 30 mph. Oh Big Z why do you tease the minion so? The Reds may have a shot at this division if their bullpen can be productive.

QUOTE (JorgeFabregas @ Apr 15, 2010 -> 01:07 PM) He's had 2 starts. Look at 2006, 2007 and 2008. If he shows up in the playoffs in 2008 the Sox may have actually made some serious noise. It is not too far fetched to say he really is unable to handle any pressure at all.

Official 2009-2010 NHL Thread

After the Preds got their team back in order after the first month or so they played well. Their PP defense stifles the Hawks. -
Milwaukee's pen is not much better than the cubs though, so it is far from over. For having a great line-up the Brewers have three good hitters and that's it. Their pitching is terrible.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 14, 2010 -> 02:44 PM) They have a ton of money. Not so sure about that anymore. The Blackhawks, now they have money.

QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 14, 2010 -> 02:51 PM) scary: met a real estate agent, a woman, who looks like Ron Gardenhire. And she had a twins sticker on her bumper. I asked and she said she's his cousin. And yes, she.looks.like.him. picture that... Chicks with Goatees are hot

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 14, 2010 -> 02:38 PM) LOL at Soriano and that contract. They will move him to first next year, be forced to watch Lee leave and they will have the most overpaid .250/.330/.450/.780 hitter in the history of baseball if they are lucky.

Carlos Gomez walks on water against the Sox but against the cub, while I am only watching on line, Esocbar singles and Gomez is out at third.........against he Sox he steals second and scores on the hit. Oh and Soriano with a fielding error Weeks is really turning into the player they thought he would be. The Brewers oughta trade Fielder for pitching if he is really looking for $200m contract.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Apr 14, 2010 -> 01:40 PM) There is an episode that implies that since Smokey took Locke's body he is now trapped. Secondly, alternative Desmond is quickly becoming the equivalent of Jacob in that universe. Everyone Desmond "touches" is being changed. I have a feeling that as a result of Desmond's accident... That is what I said without the spoiler tag a couple of posts up. Everyone is somehow making their way to the hospital.

Official 2009-2010 NBA Thread

I wish Deng lived up to this contract. With the way Heinrich is playing they woudl be fun to watch as a 5, 6 or 7 seed. I also wish they had somebody that could defend LeBron even a little bit. -
QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Apr 14, 2010 -> 09:21 AM) I thought Illana explained that at some point this season? I believe you are right. I think the longer he stays as Flocke, he losses the Smokey ability. Come on gang am I oversimplifying things here...who is going to do surgery on Mr. Locke upon his arrival at the hospital. I think Desmond knows what is happening and is just getting everything lined up. Everyone will be at the hospital in a few short moments. You know Hurley is going to have a heart attack sooner or later with all the fried chicken he eats. So Miles, Linus and Richard are on some crusade they must end up with Widmore. The Illana thing was odd. I never understood her role as she is nto really protecting anyone.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 13, 2010 -> 02:18 PM) That's laughable. One's a terrible defender and is losing it at the plate a bit and also getting older with a larger commitment. The other's a much better defender with upside at the plate since he's still in the middle of his prime years. Just wondering, what what show was this? Mully and Hanley

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Apr 13, 2010 -> 01:35 PM) Oh man, finally saw last weeks episode. One of the best Lost episodes in some time. Gave me goosebumps. Slacker. You about to sit down and watch the second game of the Sox tribe series now?

On WSCR they were comparing Rios contract to Soriano......there is no comparison on any level Soriano is owed $90M over 5 years and there is no positive outlook.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 13, 2010 -> 10:17 AM) Who's going to be featured in tonight's episode? "Everybody Loves Hurley" the episode name and trailor kind of gave it away. The end is near my friends.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 13, 2010 -> 12:18 PM) The amazing thing was that our 3 and 4 hitters had the worst nights and we still scored eight runs. 1 for 11 isn't good? They have both been having nice starts but last was terrible. This thread is great btw. Teahen last night was not the Joe Credeesque 1-4 with the big hit late after popping out twice and grounding into a DP prior to that. Not your assine Hawk don't tell me what you do, tell me when you do it. It all equals out numbnuts.

Somehow Jenks got one of the best young left handed hitters to look real bad with the winning run on first......his stuff must be really bad. I think Jenks can pitch over walks and I think his stuff looks really good. Thorton is being used how he should in the 7th and 8th against tough lefties. I like how this bullpen is setting up with Jenks taking the high pressure situations.
-
I put this in the game thread. I think Jenks looks good. He is using 4 or 5 pitches and once he gets into a groove he will unhittable. He pitched back to back. Other than the Thome hit yesterday I do not think he has given up any real good hits. He will find his control and the pen will look good...not Joe Morgan good but real good.

4/12 GT: Sox @ Blue Jays, Peavy vs. Tallet

QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 12, 2010 -> 10:00 PM) Pierre will likely get tomorrow off, as we face another LHP. Sadly so will Teahen and Vizquel will lead off and Nix will DH. I thought Jenks looked good. I thought he has looked good all year. He is using a ton of different pitches. Once he throws strikes, he will be unhittable. The change to Lind was insane. I'll take 3-4 at this point. My only concern is Peavy and if he is healthy he will be fine. -

QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 12, 2010 -> 09:28 PM) TEAHEN, YOU BEAST! I'm so proud of Ozzie this inning. You don't bunt there in front of Pierre. lefties hit this guy......nice pinch hit......and then let teahen swing away I like the taking it for the team -

QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Apr 12, 2010 -> 08:57 PM) Yeah, Ozzie needs to stop putting Pierre at the top of the order. No other options in his mind. -
