  1. Ozzie Guillen has really not done anything right this whole year. He wanted this team that he has to manage and he is being exposed. Peavy never had it tonight and should not have gone out there in the 6th. Oh and I think this team needs to take spring training a little more seriously as I do not think they are ready to play.
  2. The faith guillen has in the l/r pitching is odd because until the DH situation this year he never pinch hits to get that favorable match up
  3. QUOTE (Bhay99 @ Apr 12, 2010 -> 08:12 PM) i was going to say....if ozzie lets peavy pitch to Lind..... Good hitters kill Williams....I envision the Moreanu at bat about to be repeated.
  4. I am not watching the game but following on line and was at the game last Wednesday and Peavy did not look comfortable. It seemed he took for ever to pitch and was slow as hell. He seems to just be in a rut right now hope it is only temporary.
  5. Nady and Baker putting hte joy back in wrigleyville. How do teams not hit Dempster?
  6. I want Rios to do what Thomas, Crede and Thome did to the Sox upon their return.
  7. QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Apr 12, 2010 -> 10:29 AM) Wrong again. The pick is top ten protected. As long as the Bulls get the #10 or higher pick in the draft, they keep it. I think they could only get 1,2,3 or 11. The lottery is only for the top three picks not all 11. Not sure how far the bulls are from getting 10 though. Also how much better is Milwaukee's pick than the Bulls? We also saw the ability of Salmons last year when he came in and was great and then sucked this year. That was a good trade for the Bulls.
  8. QUOTE (Capn12 @ Apr 12, 2010 -> 10:00 AM) And hey, no Halladay to face while we're there! Thats one positive at least. Here is to hoping that the bats are alive north of the border. Also miss Marcum which is nice.
  9. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Apr 12, 2010 -> 08:50 AM) English is one of a few official languages in Curacao so most people who are from there can speak it. Did you watch the inning or just look at the box score? He got 2 easy outs, his fastball was hitting 96 with nice movement and Hardy's single was a blooper off of a broken bat. Thome smoked one on a bad pitch, but AJ didn't call a great sequence to him either. He looked fine. Thome was so late on the two fastballs it wasn't even funny the second one was in the mitt. It was a guessing game and Thome guessed right. If Jenks gets it a little higher it is a K. My guess was AJ was thinking that Thome could not catch up to the high heat.
  10. Why was the coach not further down the line so he could stop him. Real bad coaching there especially without a SS. Great throw by Pierre. Also I thought Jenks looked really good.
  11. Gentlemen and ladies too, the fuse is lit Hawk says, "there bullpen is your run."
  12. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 10, 2010 -> 01:05 PM) Please someone tell me why Kotsay is hitting 5th in this lineup? Would any other manager in baseball do that? The Kotsay thing is 100% on Guillen has he politicked for the guy the day the season ended. Makes me somewhat question Ozzie's talent evaluation when given the opportunity. How'd the Wise thing work out.
  13. Still waiting for the speed and defense. I have seen neither all year. Sadly Garcia will have a nice game the pen will be expected to shut the Twins out for 3 or 4 innings and the offense will continue to wet themselves. Is Hawk talking about guys trying to do to much yet?
  14. Sox bullpen is doing its job despite the idiotic ramblings of the Hawkeroo they can not be expected to shut a team out for 3 innings every night that simply is not going to happen with the defense that is out there. We have now learned already that the entire infield and right field are no better this year and the arm in left has not improved but the range has. Center though is a huge upgrade.
  15. I think the pitching as a whole other than Linebrink has been impressive even Jenks and Pena The part I can not get out of my head is the offense looks like last year and the defense is just as bad thus far. The bullpen is 0-3 and off of the top of my head has given up 6 runs in 16 innings many of which have come after sketchy defense let them down.
  16. QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Apr 10, 2010 -> 07:48 AM) He's been deservedly ripped alot as a Hawk, but one guy who has really improved his game this season is Sopel. He's been downright serviceable of late, which has been big given the recent injuries on D. He has had a nice season and you know what you are getting but he is getting paid nicely for it, that is the issue with him. The man is not afraid to block a shot, that is for sure. Real nice effort last night. If the Hawks meet the 'Lanche in round one that would be swell.
  17. 11th inning yesterday 3-3 became 5-3 11th inning today 3-3 becomes ....... This is all on the offense. The Sox could not hit Pena right now and he is throwing batting practice.
  18. I wanted to think that the thought process was good with the make up of this team I am slowly realizing that I could not be more wrong. For yet another year I feel bad for the bullpen.
  19. QUOTE (daa84 @ Apr 9, 2010 -> 09:56 PM) not exactly the right thread, but id like to congratulate the chicago bulls for making the absolute most pathetic and least inspiring push towards the playoffs They got hosed as bad as I have ever seen to end the first OT on a non-call out of bounds. Rush won, Hawks winning, Fire home opener tomorrow, cub pen imploded again
  20. Quentin and Rios got clutch hits the last two nights it is just not enough.
