  1. I like Gibson. Thomas may get less and less playing time especially if he is going to be chucking the 20 footers. The refs in the NBA blow.
  2. I know that Hossa and Toews will help but Sharp needs to play better and the forwards outside of Kane and Versteeg are really nothing to write home about. For the love showered on Kopecky and his ability to get to the net, the power play blows. Nice to see Big Buff getting back to his old unproductive self along with Campbell. On the bright side the defense (other than Campbell) and Huet look really good.
  3. I am lazy to list his but the free agent DH role is so deep he may have to sign for a sickeningly low salary.
  4. Couple of things Walker should be able to help Teahan as they have/had similar approaches. I know Walker should have been fired but I digress. KW is saying Teahan will play third if nobody better is picked up to play third. Also, the bullpen will be better if the offense can help win games as the starters should all be able to go deep into games and the relievers will not have to protect a one or two run lead nightly. The bullpen can be shortened to 3 guys instead of 5 nightly.
  5. This move makes Beckham available if they deem that CJ and Nix can play second. Just saying. Teahan is fast enough as he is not a clogger. I think the Sox realized this season that the speed thing will not work at the cell. They need guys that can run the bases and have some power. This also adds a guy that can play multiple positions like Kotsay. This team needs subtle moves this offseason nothing major and I think they will be one of hte best teams in baseball.
  6. The Yankees winning is somehow good for baseball I guess. I watched very little post season baseball which is sad. Now when they go out and get Holliday and Figgins I can not care about next post season as well if the Sox do not make it. I wonder how they plan on building their rotation. What is sad is that a Kei Igawa signing can hurt a franchise but the Yanks can just shrug it off. I think the owners want the Yankees and Red Sox to control everything then they have an excuse for not spending. Kind of like now the McCaskey's have to spend money because of the cap.
  7. QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 2, 2009 -> 07:38 PM) I hate that they moved the time slot. I loved that and HIMYM back to back. I haven't been able to catch it as much. That show is great. With DVR technology I never watching anything live except for an occassional sporting event.
  8. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 4, 2009 -> 01:56 PM) Hopefully it frees up some money long term, that is all I ask. Unload a couple of yonnger guys and make them take Campbell. This schedule is terrible it seems like the Hawks will play 3 times in 4 days and then get 5 days off.
  9. QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Nov 1, 2009 -> 01:57 PM) When your "initial contact" is 4-400lb linemen, not much you can do. On the first down play he jumped in the air for some reason. Man should this game be a blowout.
  10. Ron Turner is unable to put his players in the best position to succeed.
  11. QUOTE (Willy52 @ Oct 30, 2009 -> 04:58 PM) Jenks Heat, do you only post when the Hawks lose? I find it funny that you're never around when they're winning. I guess I am just an asshole that way, oh well. Huet looks good and Campbell a -2 in the last 4 minutes of the period. This team again is proving that shots are not the problem, goals are.
  12. Hawks have a ton of shooters and no scorers. Brent Sopel is a good defenseman but has no offensive ability at all. Campbell seems to be getting back to his old self as well. Madden and Kopecky ae really not doing much either.
  13. QUOTE (T R U @ Oct 29, 2009 -> 04:07 AM) This is great.. it was an interception, and ruled a TD on the field. It was also reviewed and still ruled a TD. Thanks for this picture Sports Illustrated. My favorite part is the ref staring RIGHT AT THE PLAY!!!!!!! Should have been a touchback, Dolphins ball.. Oh well, makes you wonder if some refs really do have money on the games. So the Saints get the ball 1st and goal on the 1 correct or am I missing somethign? As for the Bears why does it take so long for that team to realize what radio experts and I am talking about the guys that played the game have been saying for weeks.
  14. I think Greg Walker works his ass off and that is why he is still here. Same with Cora and Cooper.
  15. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Oct 28, 2009 -> 01:27 PM) The guy with two fingers left was an accountant who told the club he could get them a bunch of money, didnt tell them it was counterfeit, so when they had a run in with hte Asian gang they gave him over (thats who he was screwing out of money). His hands are like that because when he gets nervous he jacks off and the Asian boss got tired of that. Cool thanks.
  16. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 28, 2009 -> 09:23 AM) Until you remember that he, without proper evidence, tried to murder Opie and instead killed his wife... So one thing Jax does goes wrong? EVERYTHING Clay has done recently has gone wrong! Team Jax! Tom Arnold must die. What is the deal with the dude who had his fingers cut off or whatever happened to him. I guess I really need to see some older episodes I just got into this show this season and a few episodes in at that.
  17. QUOTE (scenario @ Oct 27, 2009 -> 02:36 PM) CJ's on Twitter... @CJRetherfordAFL Can you ask him how tall he is?
  18. Kyle Orton is better than Jay Cutler.
  19. Coaching in the NFL wins games period. Coaching at the head level down through the coordinators who run a scheme and can game play and assistants that can develop talent. Before all of this though there needs to be a GM that can evaluate what is needed to fill these schemes. Angelo has made some bad moves but I think overall he has gotten Lovie what he wanted for defense. Imagine if Ced played like this for the Bears? Look at what an elite defensive coordinator in Denver and New Orleans can do. I think coordinators are as important as the head coach.
  20. Missed Minoso can't believe that Uribe and Ward The * for active players helps tremendously. The fact Karkovice and Durham are mentioned anywhere near an all-time home run list is just sad.
  21. Got something in the mid-teens Mistook Ruffin for Ruffcorn Christmas for Christman Stumm / Strumm Easy one's I missed Mitchell Borchard Anderson Almost missed Poreda I did get Eddie Pearson and thought Mitchell was Johnson so Mark Johnson was a mistake.
  22. I think the whole post season ticked me off when looking at how the Yankees will only have used 3 starters and then only once would they have pitched on three days rest CC game 4 becasue of the backward ass tv schedule. This postseason has almost made me not like baseball. I am tired of the Red Sox and Yankees and even the Angels for that matter and the National League is so bad it is pathetic.
