They felt they could get Machado for a lower price by surrounding him with family, friends and other Latin players. In reality they didn't really need him if they felt Moncada was worth the extension. Jerry is holding the pearls close to his chest and using none of the value of the franchise to make it better. He lives on his budget and the fans fans dearly. He is not selling and losing 75% of the value of his asset but he is also not using his asset to take on debt and make the organization a winner. There is no reward for him he already has won. He doesn't give two craps though. The Bulls again led the NBA in attendance and they have been dogshit since he ran his greatest asset out of town 25 years ago.

I meant that he has enough pieces to compete just can't figure how to put it all together.

It's proof that the GM cannot properly construct a roster and should be fired.

It's amazing how many simply wasted bad at bats this team has. Every player that comes up, signs or is traded for has at least 2 horrific at bats per game. I'm still baffled that Pedro felt Sheets in RF and Yaz at DH was the right play today. I lose more and more faith in him each game.

How does sheets get on top of the high fastball and beat into the ground and pop up the ball below his knees?

Pedro may give less fucks about defense than Tony. There is no reason for Sheets to be in RF, none, unless Colas is hurt. Why does Colas sit for Sheets? Romy should be in there for defense over Hanser. Starting to wonder more and more about Pedro.

It's baffling how this offense just goes dormant and pitching losses it. Burger was too high a pick to be so bad v RHP. Such a wasted pick.

2-4 weeks is fine. Every team has injuries and neither the Sox have sustained are season changing. Last year Eloy and Anderson would have stayed on the roster and Seby would have somehow been at 1B with Vaughn in LF and Kelly would be day-today and Lopez would end up pitching three innings one day. Silver lining is SS defense should be better, Sosa lights it up ending the Hanser experience....that's if Pedro plays Sosa.

For 10 days Hanser, Burger and Romy can hold down the infield if Tim or Moncada are out or day to day. They need another outfielder. This feels like Andrus or Hanser should be gone after this or the injury is much longer.

This is a pathetic game. Question is do Sox lose 5-4 in extras or 9-4 after bullpen implodes?

I spoke ill will of Hanser earlier. He just missed it last time up.

Why is he playing 3B over Romy? Both suck but one has sucked for less time and may be better.

Correa hasn't been much better than Elvis. I think they will really be regretting that contract soon. Dansby looks like a steal.

New season but same story. Poorly constructed bullpen that has no inning eater and apparently nobody that can go back to back days. Both Lynn and Kopech should have been pulled much earlier then they were and them bullpen was pathetic. Offense can hit but cannot sustain a rally or hit for power. Grifol seems outclassed and not sure what Katz is doing.

Team is done for today.

Especially once you hit sheets for burger. Tells me he thinks more of Hanser than the shitty bench player he is.
