Swisher needs a day off
-
Lamb went from having a good at-bat to a White Sox at-bat in three quick pitches. Come on and score some runs.
-
Quintin looks shaky with that roof and the defensive positioning in center seems odd Also do the Sox ever score early in a game, christ.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Apr 28, 2008 -> 09:37 PM) He's already won several games for the Sox. for $15M a year he better. No major issue with Thome. Cabrerra is afraid of the weather that is all I can think of. He has done nothing to show me he is anything like the player they sold him to be. I thought he was good but he really has done nothing all that positive. The squeeze with a guy that has had some success in getting the job done the last two days was as stupid a move as I have ever seen.

QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Apr 28, 2008 -> 05:03 PM) AJ pops up on the first pitch, but Carlos is up. Nice couple of days here from AJ, there are a few guys that need to be more consistent for this team to get on a roll. -

QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Apr 28, 2008 -> 05:01 PM) BTW I have to say this, Steve Stone must be some sort of Wizard, or Wiccan Priest, or in league with the devil in some manner. He just called the single for Konerko 30 seconds before it happened. I am calling in to get tonights lottery numbers. He did the same thing on the pitch before the Swisher walk. -

2000 is still the reason I loath Chad Bradford, not that it is his fault. Nice job Konerko. -

Swish swung at ball 4 and still drew the walk here is the ideal #2 hitter -

QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Apr 28, 2008 -> 04:23 PM) Jesus, a GIDP? Anyone object to putting Carlos in the 2 hole? I said this yesterday. Another horses*** at-bat, this team has found a way to not only give away at-bats but give away a whole games worth of at-bats. -

QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Apr 28, 2008 -> 04:22 PM) LOL GIDP. F*** you OC. That is what I mean about him. He was suppossed to be the ideal #2 hitter, I am seeing nothing that shows anything resembling that. Wow another walk that will go to waste. -

QUOTE (watchtower41 @ Apr 28, 2008 -> 04:19 PM) What Opening Day?? Jesus people, give Alexi a break... he is a rookie. He's not gonna have the discipline of Tony Gwynn. After a week of whining to bench Uribe, you are finally seeing that we don't have another option at 2B right now. I think its hilarious for all who think we can just plug Fields in over there and get a Chase Utley prototype. At one point earlier this month the evaluative talents of the White Sox felt Alexi Ramirez was a better baseball player than Carlos Quintin. That is all I am saying. -

QUOTE (jasonxctf @ Apr 28, 2008 -> 04:12 PM) send Alexei down, call up Jerry and let Pablo start at 2B for the rest of the year. Every Latino player is killing us at the plate this year. -

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 28, 2008 -> 04:07 PM) The dude had, 2 seasons ago, an on-base string where he got on base at least once every game for 2 months. That's just not the guy we've gotten so far at all His OBP is reasonable, it is the outs he makes when he should be moving runners over and what not that are frustrating. Ramirez better not swing the friggin bat until he has 2, make that 3 strikes. -

Orlando Cabrera's plate discipline is nothing comparable to what was sold at the time of the trade. Also this team does not score at all early in the game. Farmer wet himself on the AJ fly out. -

QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 28, 2008 -> 03:44 PM) At what point do we decide his near .350 OPS isn't ready for the majors? What a joke! He is looking more and more like Uribe at the plate. Yesterday was abysmal. Why he isn't in AAA right now for a guy that can give CONSISTENTLY DECENT AB's is beyond me. -

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 28, 2008 -> 01:06 PM) I highly doubt the outrageous thought of Uribe cannibalizing his entire family sans the one poster on this board is believable enough that anyone would believe it. Thusly, it being a "bad comment" is not possible. It's a joke. I don't think I'm "ignorant" because I thought someone making a joke about Uribe's fat ass was funny. Why don't you strike up a cause that's worth getting worked up about? Canibals are in much better shape tha Uribe. At least the one's from the Soccer plane crash movie were that was how I knew it was a joke. -
Carlos Quintin was obtained in my opinion because of the positive results of the Chris Young deal for AZ. 10 years from now I feel we will believe that we fleeced the D'Backs in both deals as I feel we have won bothright now. I think Vazquez has more value than Chris Young and Quintin will have more than both of them while the fellow that was moved for Haren (via AZ), will be the next Jack Cust. IMHO Carry on.

Well the Brewers almost blew an 8-3 lead, give them time. The Mets are vastly overrated although I believe the cubs are as well.

I find it hard to beleive there was no spot for Reed Johnson on the Blue Jays. Hell he could DH now.
