  1. The White Sox got a professional baseball player to play 2B and bat 9th. He doesn't need to be a 3 WAR or hit home runs. He needs to be smart and play solid baseball he will. Close the thread that it is. There is no further discussion.
  2. I'd venture to guess it's the opposite the more in public spotlight you are.
  3. Is her face in any photos? She likes selfies so there should be hundreds of photos.
  4. She went on the radio and stated this stuff, is he not allowed to defend himself? She seems smart enough to know how to create news but yet doesn't have proof of it. She has no camera footage of him stoned or a photo of the chew spit on the child? After the interview I felt that she should have more proof of the allegations. There are no text threads like Bauer or much of anything. These are simple things that would substantiate her claim and he seems dumb enough to provide. These were things I felt the interview should have addressed. Clevinger speaking out is dumb but actually following through is different animal.
  5. After listening to that interview I felt if he was innocent he may have a claim. Howard Stern would walk comments like hers back on his show. They encouraged it in the interview with zero follow up. Hopefully he makes Chicago media uncomfortable.
  6. I felt that she was a good interview but I did not feel that it advanced her case and neither host dug in too much which was expected. It was a lot of air time for little results but I understand why both parties would agree. The more information she provides the less credible she appears to me.
  7. I agree with all of that but the crappy part of it is that there isn't enough evidence there and we are stuck with him. That sucks as he will probably make 35 starts and not be affected at all by this and the team will still only win 75 games.
  8. Why do you hope he did it? I hope the investigation finds him innocent. I never liked him but he's the guy to which a good chuck of the season is pinned. I agree with your stand if found guilty and never liked the guy to begin with but to hope he did this is an odd approach to me.
  9. He is not selling. It would be akin to winning the lottery and taking the single payout losing 75% of the value once he passes it to his kids . Only reason he would sell is if his other business ventures lost money and could offset the tax hit or they needed the cash. He doesn't have business ventures that are losing hundreds of millions of dollars and the budgeting of the Bulls and Sox add whatever excess cash flow is needed .
  10. What if they are "dragging their feet" because the accusations are unfounded?
  11. and you can't just do a blank request you have to know what you are looking for ahead of time.
  12. I will agree with that but the case against him isn't any stronger based on her revelations today. I think if my child had to be tested for parasites due to drinking raw goat's milk I'd have an issue with her upbringing and will have to side with Mike on this. I can also see health insurance denying this procedures and potential coverage. If he is denying adding the child to health insurance that is just stupid as there is no benefit to him for this. Mike also cannot provide her health insurance coverage just because she is the baby's mother....and why he does not need to provide for her chiropractic visits.
  13. What has been done to the NCAA playoff system is a disgrace they should just go back to ties.
  14. The whole JR carrot thing becomes more and more real each year it proves to be reality.
  15. Partial plan people are the White Sox lifers that are looking to lock in on their games and seats. Price isn't as big an issue. I get them to guarantee Opening day, go to 10-20 games and then there are playoff options.
  16. Stony pony ain't goin to no radio booth
  17. This is turning into an Abbott and Costello routine. Look at last years lowest attended game (probably early April) and subtract 1% and that is your season ticket base.
  18. The only thing keeping them from AH is the $2B city paid renovation of the lake front which includes access to I 55 and LSD more smoothly and moving public transit into the complex. My hope is that this brings an end to the lake front old McCormick place building and a casino included in there. My lord the city has messed the casino project up.
  19. Depends on what is given to Khan in a Soldier Field rebuild. Stop thinking of it is Jacksonville. It is an entity that it is one of 32 NFL football franchises and what Khan and his family is looking to spend his money on. The "fans" in LA cannot support one football team yet now they have two. You build two billion dollars project over the next 8 years...which thrives Arlington Heights or Chicago? As far as football goes, Soldier Field would be filled with visiting team's fans looking to enjoy the city....at least until mid-December
  20. LA has shown you don't yet fans to back the team, just the owners and the NFL. The Bears get Arlington - Khan gets Soldier Field and a EPL game comes to the U.S.
  21. I stated that it appears that they are trending away from being cheap. But one year ago they went with the same plan on GM and head coach and until recently they were run by their team accountant and life long employee. So I am not ready just yet to say that they team is going to be in on financing potential $1B plus deals. Maybe this is all Pat Ryan's doing and his move to own the team some day. If so then it all makes sense.
  22. Warren was the first time I would agree with you. Poles and Eberflus may work out but there is no history to dictate that. The fact that Ted Phillips was running that franchise with a McCaskey was laughable and no way indicative of a professionally sports run franchise. Other than Angelo and Lovie, I always felt their GM and coach had no authority in building a franchise. Maybe Warren does but he also could be a short term guy if Goddell moves on. Maybe the McCaskey family sold off shares and now have a more functioning organization with a real Board that is making these decisions
  23. You are right when it comes to player salaries as there is a cap that they need to abide by. It has changed in the last 5 years with the enhancements at Lake Forest but non player spending on coaching, staff and other organizational costs always lagged and was a large talking point about coaches building staffs. Warren's hiring appears to signify a change in philosophy so maybe you are right but this is an organization that put nothing into the product and now is going to spend over a billion dollars to take on the risk of Arlington....sorry that I continue to ask this questions especially if the answer is out there. I find it similar to the Chicago mayoral candidates with all their "ideas" but no rational plan to implement. Maybe COVID hammered the cubs in Wrigleyville but their billion dollar investment isn't running as smoothly and this is the Bears plan from what I can tell.
