  1. The Bears in Arlington will sell out. NFL doesnt give a s%*# about optics they put two teams in LA that nobody wants, If Chicago lines up Khan and the $2B renovation why wouldnt he move. The Bears somehow ponying up a billion dollars seems out of character to me but maybe Virgina is assumed to sell but that appears to be a JR scenario. The Bears are cheaper than the White Sox.
  2. Is there any reporting on how the stadium will be financed? If Chicago does renovate the current Soldier Field and puts a second team there, that would be interesting......or Jacksonville moving into Arlington as well.
  3. Pedro Pascal is an amazing actor. I still see him as the Narcos role as that was a great show and for some reason view him in that role in the End of Us.
  4. You ae 100% correct, the White Sox are very good at pissing away good talent. The loyalty thing seems to go out the window in certain cases and this is one time where I thought it would come into play for the good. My hope is that the White Sox see it clearer and the next agreement is more smooth. My hope is that Jason has exploded and that is the issue here and they need to figure it out. Brooks Boyer seems to have gotten really bad at his job lately.
  5. They have to go with Gordon Beckham because Stone gets a good amount of vacation time. The list of good color commentators is not that long, watch any sport and you soon realize how bad they are. Benetti had a option that the club picked up. Benetti is asking the team to make concessions for him to broadcast other games. The White Sox have to fill these gaps and rework Kasper's deal when he moves to television and find replacements that they have to pay. I do not think Benetti can make as much money doing the national stuff to leave but it makes the White Sox position more difficult when he is missing so much. You would think the White Sox would be more accommodating but they are the White Sox. There is a middle ground here in this discussion other than the White Sox fucked up again. I think Benetti stays as there ae more options doing Sox games than other sports in the spring and summer but I think it is worked out much differently. If Jason needs to miss 20 games that is 12% of the season that is not insignificant. What happens if Jason has a FOX game on a Saturday in September and Sox game the following day and his flight is cancelled? There ae logistical aspects to this other than look at the cheap White Sox again.
  6. Isn't he married to the girl he dated in high school? At this point you'd think the millions of dollars he has earned would outweigh the shrinkage.
  7. At 2:00 it told me sold out....went back in and plenty of seats were available. My guess is that there will plenty for the game.
  8. Tickets went on sale at 2:00 I was curious what was out there. Tickets are sold out. Went back in and grabbed two in lower deck for $69 and parking. Why not it's opening day. Sure they will be something like 1-5 and Davis Martin will be pitching but no worse then watching Jon Danks give up 5 in the first in the snow.
  9. That's better than a full month of Royals, Tigers and Twins
  10. I did not even know this until you posted......they used to not go on sale until March. Will be curious if they sell out.
  11. For some reason I think that benefits the Sox most in the division.
  12. I case the argument is that the minor league depth pieces are not good enough to be minor league depth pieces.
  13. Abreu is going 3-4 with a HR and 3 RBI and will walk in his first at bat Benentendi will make an error or bad base running play
  14. If the full reporting is what is in the Athletic story and the IG stuff, there may not be enough to substantiate her story. We can disagree on this but in a vacuum that is what it is. I felt there would be a snowball after the reporting but that does not appear to be the case. The way the White Sox are going, it will probably snow ball around opening day or during he season. It is a terrible look for the White Sox and Hahn and solidifies the notion that Clevenger is a scumbag but it may not keep him off the field.
  15. If there is such detailed reporting out there, I apologize as I did not see it. I only read the Athletic story and saw the IG photos. If there is such details as you quote on the events linked to the Athletic story again, I did not see them. Soxtalk is overwhelming against him ever pitching for the White Sox but sure make it sound like he whole forum other than yourself thinks the whole story is a fabrication.. A couple of people are stating reasons why we think that he will still pitch. Nobody is claiming they have anything but disdain for him and everyone seems to agree this was a terrible move by the team. Maybe they will release him and potentially eat all the money.....I think they will if the MLB comes back with something along the lines of 80 games as rabbit posted yesterday.
  16. Those alone can convict someone on social media but there needs to be more to penalize the accused. Maybe the MLB has more information and then a decision can be rendered but based on the information provided thus far I am not sure there is enough. A week ago I thought this would begin a snow ball and maybe it will and he can go away and not be heard from. I did not read the Athletic column so maybe there is more there than what other outlets are reporting. This is another stain on the Hahn resume but I do not think the White Sox are in a position to do anything about it. it was a stupid move on day one and continues to look worse but the White Sox are not cutting ties and eating the money. Maybe there is other evidence out there that seems to come to light in these situations that will force him to be held accountable. There is plenty to determine he is a POS but that won't keep him off the field.
  17. I have a feeling there isn't going to be enough proof to validate her claim and as such there is then nothing the White Sox or MLB can do about it. They can base a claim on a police report or further interviews and maybe that will come out here and vindicate the victim but I would think that would be further down the road than it is There needs to be some sort of collaborating evidence against a he said / she said situation which is where this is at currently. The claims thus far is much different than what was seen in the Ray Rice case and Addison Russell. Collaborating the guy is a POS is very likely but not enough to keep him from pitching. Also I'm not certain this will have any impact in the White Sox club house unless it is directly impacting them.
  18. It's a double team block. Not going to be called.
  19. If Fields was in this draft he would be 1-1. How do we know Young is better.
  20. Why would a team do that and not just draft up to get Young?
  21. He is informed and probably gave some approval but the White Sox pay for none of this.
  22. I stated earlier all they did was take the handicap sections that are never used and cut a hole in the wall. There were no seats there to remove.
  23. This would have been Soxtalk weekend and this would have been the news drop to get everyone to cheer. Nobody changed the PR department timeline to a more sensible time to do this like when the contracts expired which was probably at the end of the season. .
