White Sox vs. Blue Jays, 6/03/07 (L)

0-60 So far so go on my prediction. Do the White Sox understand pinch hitting is allowed? They have 4 hits today. Since hte 3 game barage runs scored 0,5,4,4,2,6,0,3,3,3 = 3 runs a game. Record in those games 2-9 That's good stuff. -

I will not give the pitching that much of a break but when the opponents spend the entire game hitting, they are bound to get on a roll. Tallet has thrown 43 pitches in 3 innings for god's sake. This is the american League you need to hit hte ball. For f***'s sake at least get a hit. Masset threw as many pitches that inning as Tallet has in three. Time to cut the lawn. -

That looks like a hit and run and Iguchi saying f you I ain't swinging at that. Can't make 'em pay. he just swungat the same pitch he toook for he Uribe steal. I'd like 0 for 70 that sounds good. They can get close today. -

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 3, 2007 -> 12:12 PM) Overbay was begging for a reason to not have to keep hitting. Not only did he swing at that, he didn't try to get out of the way. How pathetic. Uh oh, Ozzie gets the heave ho and he's not happy. This isn't Pinella-esque but he's really not happy. Yet another thing the stupidity of White Sox hitters are unable to exploit. When behind 0-2 or 1-2 getting hit by a pitch is a good thing. Why is it other teams can do it but the morons on the Sox can not comprehend this. -

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 3, 2007 -> 12:08 PM) Random note: Josh Fields with the day off today. Does it mean he's one of the changes tomorrow? No, but I can dream right. We're fortunate that didn't get out of here, and darn almost had him at 2nd. Maybe. The thought is to give Crede every third game off. If Fields at least held is own at short there is a chance he could be called up to play a little left or short if needed. -

Nice job making them pay for intentianally walking a .252 hitter in the 3rd inning. That is embarassing. DJ with a rip, nice. 8 pitches low and away, dive over the plate......moron. -

QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 3, 2007 -> 11:41 AM) So Hawk is announcing for the people of Europe today. I wonder if he'll educate them about the likes of Catfish, Yaz, Kaline, etc. No way can we count on the return of Pods/Erstad. Both of them have injuries that are very easily reaggrevated. If neither comes back soon which I am not sure is likely this team is toast, unless Owens can produce the .350 OBP. This order right now aged like a dog over the winter and is now done. The only hope is that Iguchi and the lead-off hitter can do their thing. Actually this team needs a bench coach or somebody that can assist Ozzie in figuring things out. I was away yesterday. What was the reason for bringin in McDougal over Thorton in the 7th? AJ in the three whole is a great idea but you have to guess Ozzie has the good old blind faith in Thome-Dye-Konerko. Also Crede should be hitting 8th and Uribe 9th. -

Crede and/or Dye need to be traded ASAP, Dye more so especially when Erstad or Podsednik come back. The lack of being able to make an adjustment by these hitters is down right pathetic and teams have figured these asswipes out. -

The piss poor middle of this order better f***ing start to hit. Diving out of the way of the inside pitch on 0-2 is nice when you're not hitting .220. These f***jobs need to just put the bat on the ball. McGowan is not Burnett, Halladay or Chad Gaudin. Also the opponents bullpen HAS NOT GIVEN UP A HIT THIS ROAD TRIP. The White Sox are 0-41. Teams have figured how to pitch the White Sox and there is nothing they can do it about it unless they decide to do something about it. Offspeed pitches with movement are the death of them as they refuse to take a pitch and will continue to be. Again sorry for the negativity. Sad that outside of the rookie call-up, the rest of this team has been unable to get a run in 24 innings. I don't care who is pitching and who is injured, people making over $7M a year need to start producing. Enough already. -
If Carlos Zambrano is a free agent, would you sign him?
Harry Chappas replied to gosox41's topic in Sox Baseball Headquarters
Buster Olney on BBTN stated that Lou Pinella is losing the club daily and the players on that team need to be cuddled more than being brow beat and there is a whole lot of negative vibe in there. As for Zambrano, he appears to be trying to pitch through an injury. If healthy with Guillen, I think it could work. Health is the issue. If Zambrano tanks, I see the cubs going hard at Buerhle although I believe he really hates Wrigley. -

Just wanted to jump on and say this team has averaged under 3 runs a game for the last 9. The middle of this order needs ot be broken up via trade they suck. You get a glimpse at what simple baseball IQ can do. with Ownes and Iguchi. If we lose it is the hitting not he pitching. You need to score some f***ing runs. It is not up to the guys that are making under $3M and are a collective less than Iguchi and get hurt that is the problem. It is the 5 guys making a combined $45M that f***ing suck. Thome and AJ need to do something agaisnt right handed pitching. Sorry to be a downer. This ain't fun to watch.
