Twins vs White Sox 9-22 Official Gamethread

Bunt Steal third -
Mueller is old. What are his numbers outside of Fenway? Crede and Uribe are coming on and are the least of our worries if Podsednik, Rowand, Dye and Everett were doing their jobs we wouldn't be concerned with Uribe adn Crede. These two with AJ and Konerko are the only players worth bringing back as they have defensive abilities. Joe Creded is a solid player nothing more nothing less. He is a solid 5 day a week (sit agaisnt tough righties) 6-9 hitter worth $3-$4M a year.
-
Pods and Everett should be moved if not the entire outfield. Bring in Anderson and guys with high OBP. Resign Konerko and the entire infield. Pods is a #9 hitter and terrible outfielder if he is not stealing he has zero worth as he has no ability to manage the strike zone.

QUOTE(3E8 @ Sep 22, 2005 -> 02:42 PM) Where the hell'd you get that? I have +155. I saw +175 and thought that there may be a chance he is scratched as this is easy money considering the previous results. My thoughts were 250-275. -
Simply showing he may not be able to handle the pressure. I think he should learn from this and I do not blame him as he is correct we should be happy with 95 wins. If we get to the playoffs that is great. Not sure what to say about this actually.

QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Sep 22, 2005 -> 07:33 AM) there are 8 games against Minnesota and Detroit. Not trying to kick a dog while he is down but I am counting tonight as a loss thus giving us a 2 game lead. I did not realize Cleveland played tonight I thought they were off.
-
.500 the rest of the way and we are in no ifs, ands, or buts about it (see other post). Yesterday the WC number was 9 remove three losses guaranteed by either NY or Boston (or some collection of either) and we are in. If we do not go .500 in the next 8 we do not deserve to be anywhere near the playoffs and have choked and deserve the ridicule bestowed upon us. No tipping your f***ing hat to the other teams pitcher and crap like that, after tonight. Be that as it may. Somehow I get the feeling Kansas City and Tampa will help us out and this thing will be done by the time we get to Cleveland. Match-ups in the final series Millwood-Buerhle Westbrook- Garland/Hernandez (get my drift) McCarthy/Hernandez - Elarton We could bring Count back as well as Cleveland could bring Lee back on three days rest. Bonderman and Radke are done we need to do our job as we will go into the last ten games with a 2 game lead (after tonight) and WE ARE PLAYING WEAKER TEAMS (outside of tonight) THAN THE INDIANS RIGHT NOW AND IT IS TIME TO DO OUR f***ING JOBS I DON'T CARE WHAT THE OPPONENTS RECORD IS!!!!!!!!! Tampa Bay helped us greatly this week I think they will again next (they swept Cleveland in Cleveland a month back, I believe.) Time to see how much heart we have.

The pop outs are througly disgusting. This game is making me sick seems like once again we think we are in control. Oh and Santana tinkers with perfection against us EVERY outing. If he is close to what he usually is we have no shot. -

QUOTE(Felix @ Sep 21, 2005 -> 07:20 PM) Now thats definetly not green. You do it because Uribe has been hot, and a single would move Rowand to third with 0 outs. The hit and run is used to create holes on the infield for weaker hitters or directional hitters to have more of a chance to get one through a hole that has been created. It is not for guys that are crushing the ball. Everett is a hit and run guy right now. It forces the guy to shorten his stroke to put the bat on the ball. Not what Uribe should be doing right now. Bad move. -

QUOTE(elrockinMT @ Sep 21, 2005 -> 07:03 PM) Carl has sucked for awhile now and I don't understand why Ozzie doesn't give Borchard or even Anderson a try in his place and let one of the of'ers DH. I think dino-man trys hard and all that, but if you ain't doing it then try someone else for a bit. Give him a rest. He will rest him after he goes 3 for 4 with 10 RBI. -

The Sox need to work the count. Both bullpens are taxed the first to have to dip in could be in big trouble. Both guys around 50 through 3. -

No bathroom lines. If it is cold the bathroom and a seating area are inside.
