Mike Jackson is worthless. Do the job and put it behind us. Win lose 6-2 and Tori gets off unscathed. That was the position to hit him in the ass and be done with it. The was a cheap shot.
-
Here is a chance for Jackson to do something worth his keep.
-
How is this more about Jackson than Cotts. In a close game, two walks a hit and an HBP are not the makings of a good reliever.

Why is Ben Davis allowed to bat but Rowand is pinch hit for? Ben Davis and Joe Crede look completely clueless at the plate.
-
Here is a conspiracy theory for you. End of season Loiaza is an FA, Yanks need pitching, remember the All-star game when Torre picked him over Buerhle who is signed for 3 years??????????
-
As bad as the C. Lee at bat, and I agree, the slider was no where near the plate so he could have continued to sit on the fast ball. My point goes to why Ben Davis was left in the game and then Rowand and Uribe were used as runners. Is Rowand that much better Perez as a runner???? Also, if the game goes into the 9th and we get a couple of guys on, our options are Davis, Alomar and Burke??? Not sure of the strategy here.

This is nice but one of the guys has never thrown a pitch for us. Please enter Garland into this and compare.

I'd like to join this fantasy train.

ESPN 1000: Freddy Garcia traded to the White Sox
Harry Chappas replied to Flash Tizzle's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Before yesterday I thought we would white flag this season, now I am thinking playoffs. I was pissed we did not resign Colon and felt this season would be painful so I have nothing to say. Colon was blasted again today. Remember in the offseason when KW stated he would make his moves in season. Well I am happy with this one. At first I did not like giving up Olivo what the hell. -
Farm systems are for trading for proven players with rare exceptions. None of those players you mentioned are those exceptions, nor are Reed, Borchard, Honel, or Wing.

I was at the game Jon pitched. He was hit very hard. I have not been on much lately sorry if this is old stuff sorry. Neither Rauch or Munoz throw over 90. The genius that is Hawk and DJ will tell you time and again that you do not need to throw hard to be successful. If you are not throwing strikes with your offspeed stuff and you throw as hard as a good high school pitcher, you will get shelled, (i.e. Rauch and Munoz.) Thursday will be yet another affirmation that KW is failing to get this team over the hump. With every passing day our starting four are being taxed. By skipping the fifth starter every time, our pitchers never get 5 or even 6 days rest between starts. I use the cub as an example of a team whose pitcher looks fresh every time out there. We have outings from starters that look like they could use an extra day every now and then. This will once again kill this team in a the worst division in baseball. I quote Hawk, "Show me a team with 5 good starters and I will show you a playoff team." Isn't that what we are trying to f***ing do??????

If he is back next week this is a huge lift and shows his determination. With Frank playing some first they can use him as a DH once in a while and then have Konerko to PH late in the game.

Let's review the stay of Felix Diaz. He looked decent for three plus innings against a real good hitting Baltimore team and then ON THREE DAYS REST, was shelled by the Tribe when they were red hot. I think he deserves another shot.

The highlight of my evening was meeting the man that caught Sadam. I don't know his rank but his name is Hickey. I went up to him and his friend also military and shook their hands and just said thanks. If was a little more sober I would have tried to say something a little more intelligent. I must say, it was very cool.

Please look at our record for the fifth starter since the beginning of 2003. Then pretend the 5th starter went .500 (I know wishful thinking but we are well over .500 when 1-4 start in that same time frame) and recalculate our record. We would be up by about 5 games in the division this year and would have won it last year. How good would Kenny Rogers have been for us the last two years, and he is well over a .500 pitcher. On top of all of this, how overworked is the bullpen due to the fact that every time the 5th starter pitches, four of them will be used. Also, our starters never get an extra day of rest and therefore are being overworked. 5 days rest would be helpful from time to time.

This sadly appears to be the new trend. Cub fans feeling they need to come to Comiskey in full uniform and root for the opponent. Then when a Sox fan takes a poke at them they dummy up.

It could be EBIT, it all depends on what you are looking for. If you want to include Depreciation and Amortization to get a true income before giving Uncle Sam gets his, it is EBIT. The actual cash basis performance of the company is EBITDA. There are also some accruals and deferrals that you need to look at as well but we can cover this next class.

Can Rauch be sent down after his next call up? I believe he is out of options. This would be a make or break call-up for him if that is indeed the case.
-
Freddy would arguably be #1. Just because the Sox get a pitcher, that does not mean he is automatically #5.

Who was Randy Johnson traded for?
-
Sorry I got him confused with Burke, ugh. I guess I done with this topic.

If Gload can play third this may be a bigger weekend series and Joe would like to think. I am not sold on his defense, he seems to have limited range and is not very good at charging the ball. I don't care about clutch hits and what not a sub .200 average without much speed is of no use to anyone. Uribe and Gload could be the answer. Joe's free pass is running out. The move for Joe could be in the form of a trade rather then benching because he can not be sent down. Angels and Mariners can use help at third.
-
Rowand has had so much more success.
-
If he is gone a month, we miss him. I don't care what the numbers say, I would still hate to face him. The guy was our best big game pitcher last year. We need one of these this year.

Trade for Beltran and then he and Maggs leave after the season could give the Sox at least six picks in the top 40 assuming they get only one other sandwich pick for Valentin, Koch, Schoenweis or Loiaza if they leave via free agency. This would soften the blow of anything we were to give up for him which is why I am not sure KC will just give him up as they could use two picks as well.
