How Does It End? You write the ending . . .

Sox go 2-1 this weekend Indians go 3-2 Indians win 2 of 3 next week Not sure what the GB situation will look like but that should do it for the season. -
That's a White Sox "Keep The Dream Alive" Winner !

If the Sox sweep the Indians next week it is like winning 4 games instead of 3 and essentially a six game swing in the standings with the Sox getting the tiebreaker. -
Was in a meeting all afternoon. greatly productive meeting and just read this thread without knowing anything. Great win. I would have s%*# all over this team in B1but alas the big bastard won the day. There really had to be a philosophical shift when Tony left...there is now way that happens. I have no clue what this team is any more but love that the 3 runs or less thing is a day or two and not a week or two. Andrus for 2B next year.

Rita had no business being ranked nor ND but they are really good. MC and Loyola will be better than any state championship game. -

My email address was for a job I left in 2004. -
National guys don't need access to the White Sox, nobody on a national level cares about he White Sox. Wilbon was brought up in an other thread. He is a huge cubs fan not a Sox fan at all so take his thoughts for what hey are worth, very little.

Grandal and Garcia are the two worst hitters in the AL (maybe all of baseball). That has a huge impact on situational hitting. Both in their results in those situations and the fact that they do not create those situations to begin with. Tony got ill and then poof Garcia can't find the field.
-
Agreed I just don't him anywhere near the team. You know he will be down on the field before the game and in JR's box making himself known. I just want him gone.
-
He could have bought a ticket on a first class flight.

Loyola will crush Rice and every other opponent until they face MC and then the 8A playoffs will be interesting as they and LWE are really really good. Rice and Rita were going to be a little worse than normal this year and they are. -
My hope is that they are bringing him back to announce a change in person. My fear is he had COVID and is now back full time in a few more days.

Exactly right in that we see the Phillies this year. It is right in front of everyone. It is time to move on. Cairo has been what exactly what is needed and if Tony comes back I am done. I was ok with the hiring but it has failed. Hell we even see Jerry Narron in the dugout now. I think he is the acting bench coach. I have three renewal emails from the White Sox......this move will determine my decision, including dropping the playoff money down. I don't know why they are playing better but they are so don't change it.

Nobody heard from Cairo prior to his taking over. After taking over he really seems to be a breath of fresh air. Not sure I ever saw him in the dugout or after a victory on the field when the camera was panning but i may have missed it. I wonder how his going after Rocco Baldelli impacted the team and if there would have been such an incident if TLR was sleeping over in the corner. A coherent post game interview is pleasant as well.

There are many instances in history of the game where the White Sox missed out because of their division or simply by being in the AL with the Yankees for the first 60+ years of baseball. Getting in is all that matters.

I like Cairo in the Southside hoodie for some reason LaRussa in the full uniform annoys me, of many things he does. -

Adam Engel needs to leave -
It's going to look like 5 years ago.
-
I still say he has COVID.
-
Here is the thing, he comes back next week and claims it was COVID.
-
I think Adam may be an Arlington Heights trustee.

For this season I am not sold that he is coming back and playing better than Andrus has. Elvis is playing well. I am not advocating for a long term deal but rushing Anderson back and placing him atop the lineup thinking he will be 2020/2021 is not a guarantee. I am biased as maybe the lapses in his game that are purely based on being lazy stick out to me. I like him as a hitter but think he is terrible leadoff man and that is prior to this season and when he is hitting well.

Looked like that was what he was intentionally trying to do. Swung straight down on the ball like a 16" softball.
