Abreu's contract - $ / fWAR - best value in MLB?
Harry Chappas replied to Greg Hibbard's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Sheets can use the time in the minors and that would be the case next year if a legitimate LHH RF is found and then Vaughan and Abreu rotate at 1B. -
That's a Come Back White Sox Winner !!

Their inability to make a RHP work is what is killing them as the only LHH -

He is terrible base runner. He is the better hitter but doesn't work at lead off. -

That's all the playoff series was and Hahn is too stupid to realize this is how it would go with building this roster. -

I personally don't like TA at leadoff because he doesn't work an at bat or count. Pollock isn't ideal but he's the only thing remotely close. This team just has a crazy amount of uncompetitive at bats. -

I wish I thought slightly that this team wasn't going to get outplayed and out managed badly over next 7. Here comes a 8 pitch first. I hate this organization. -
Could have if they played semi competent opponent.

Sox won't fire TLR, but would reassign him after season
Harry Chappas replied to southsider2k5's topic in Pale Hose Talk
He failed in front offices in three places and is now failing in the dugout. For Christ sake it's done....the drunkard needs to just go the f home already. A week from today there will be no playoff concerns and his inability to manage will be as clear as it is currently is to most already. The White Sox biggest mistake was not letting the drunk go 35 years ago it was letting Francona go. Francona is 10x the manger the druknard ever was and he was the Sox AA manager....that was a franchise altering mistake.- 75 replies

I've been saying for a while, before Anderson was injured, that Pollock should lead off every day for this team and DH 3 times a week. -

Why does this game start at 6:10. I have tickets and am not going but WTF. -
The game v Texas when there were no base runners or balls that left the infield was the worst. It's rather comical that now Stone is pointing out things that people have ragged about all season. This season ended around the time of the Yermin HR last year. the team has been listless since then and I am not certain what is even happening now with this team now. The fact the drunk asshole can't see what is blatantly obvious is just sad. I haven't even looked at the score today, just rolled through the game thread at work. I have eaten 3 tickets to three games recently and do not plan on using the 3tickets I have to the last four games of the season. I was not excited even a little bit after the lockout and care even less now. I just want the season to end.

I think he has done enough good especially with Cease and seems professional. I lived through the Nibbling Nardi days.
