They shouldn't extend either and should trade them the first chance they get. Neither can stay on the field long enough. Cease was who they should have tried to extend.

Spot on. He's either trying hard to be something or he is really the guy that walks into a room and you immediately spend the rest of the time trying to avoid him. -

Will he PH for Malodonado? -
I don't think they are getting the value for him because of this. Same with Robert due to his injury history.

Poster child that relievers are a crapshoot unlike any other in sport

2023-24 NFL Season Thread

This will be the most watched Hard Knocks in history. I'm completely biased but the Bears are what would happen if the cubs and Sox fans were on the same team. There is no more popular team in professional sports then the Bears. It's sad the ownership groups of Chicago teams f*** everything up. -
Based on the s%*# we have picked up this is a no brainer. Hopefully get him comfortable with zero pressure on him. The one thing about this organization, if you are veteran you have no expectation to produce to get playing time. He's better then most of the s%*# in the pen...hell he could be the best arm in the pen. If signing him makes it so I never have to see Sierra Leona pitch again, I'm cool with that.

He is 33 years old. The next hire would be the first where I would say they passed on him. Maybe they didn't think he was ready to win in this window.

Luis Robert right hip flexor injury

I don't think complex games count as a rehab assignment and they are limited to the number of games they can play on a rehab assignment before they have to be activated. -
Bulls haven't traded with anyone in 3 years so it's not just the Lakers. What a worthless article.

They gotta DFA him or just send him down
-
Because he seems to like to f*** over young players and those are much more important. He makes the team worse and is the epitome of a buffon.

If Grifol has any say in why he is not coming up, he needs to be fired.

Here is why any return will not live up to expectations. He is as injury prone as Eloy. Hand — Aug. 18, 2020 Illness — April 27, 2021 Hip — May 2, 2021 Groin — April 21, 2022 COVID-19 — May 24, 2022 Illness — July 15, 2022 Wrist — Aug. 12, 2022 Hand/Wrist — Sept. 15, 2022 Wrist — Sept. 24, 2022 Hamstring — April 29, 2023 Hip — May 23, 2023 Calf — July 10, 2023 Finger — Aug. 9 2023 Quad — Sept. 2, 2023 Knee — Sept. 24, 2023 Hip — April 5, 2024 -
Unless they can be flipped for something better. There is a risk there but for the Grossmann's, Keller's, Pham's the hope is that there is something to be gained by trading them. DFA'ing a Popeye is not a good idea unless the vet that bumped him is flipped for a better Popeye. The prospects that were rushed this year were done so by necessity. The pitchers because Clevenger and Keller were not ready and Flexen and then Soroka were killing the pen. My hope is Getz is doing all of this to give the guys time in minors as opposed to rushing the Vaughan's and Madrigal's that could have hampered them. Pham, Grossman, Feddee, Keller gambles in 2020-2022 would have been great as compared to stacking the 40 man with MiLB fodder and rushing guys.

This offense is just so embarassing. None of those 3 with first and second no out even had a chance. -
and that's a WHITE SOX RUBBER GAME WINNER!

3 games in less than 24 hours. God Bless the balanced schedule -
I don't expect it to happen, but......

I just want them to play .450 ball the rest of the way to keep me entertained. No point in tanking. -
Injury history gives me pause on both. Scott Boras tells you that there is no chance Robert extends early.
-
How does he compare to Big George from Downers who reclassified to come out a year early.
-
Go look at how the cubs scored their eventual winning run yesterday. At the time it seemed irrelevant but it ended up being the difference in the final score.

If you heard his post game interview earlier in the week, I think he is going to stick around for a while.
