  1. Why can Anderson play defense and gets picked off? Organization is full of morons.
  2. This is where run differtial will hurt when they lose 14-2 because the always injured bullpen can't throw back to back days and starters can't throw into the 7th.
  3. Anderson picked off twice in front of the hottest hitter in baseball. Why can't this team not be stupid?
  4. Why didn't he pitch for his high school in the spring? Kind of sad Murphy from (RB) and Schultz (neither Oswego highly rated pitcher for that matter) had an opportunity in the state tourney. Was it a family decision? Murphy was coach's decision and a poor one at that.
  5. Checking in to say LaRussa has to try and get more innings out of his starters.....somehow. Also Robert is starting to get a lazy approach on the bases and outfield.
  6. Is this his third or fourth injury this year?
  7. Velazquez should finish this game even if he gives up 10
  8. Ballgame Should be the last we see of Big Energy but Mendick will go down until the next soft tissue issue. This team has zero power
  9. I thought they should have looked into Matt Carpenter. LHH 2B
  10. 1 game in to this series shows how far away they are from reality.
  11. Golf outing tomorrow so I am posting earlier as to not be derelict. Some wacky game times this weekend that I hopefully need to post threads for. So the fuse or fire is almost lit....are the boys ready for liftoff in a NASA hotbed? Let's all hope so as Dusty pantsed Tony last season as I am sure we all still recall. The season series last year down there was brutal sans some Hot Carl. Hopefully we get another Michael K (not NYY version) Sunday night to wow us again. Below is a nice little preview I found from some site as the pathetic Chicago media doesn't have the resources....at least that I could find. Maybe former poster Greg Pratt could talk to his bosses about that. I didn't post odds as they are not forever in our favor this weekend. LFG Chicago White Sox Record: 30-31 Houston Astros Record: 39-24 Friday’s Starters: Lucas Giolito 4-2, 3.88 ERA vs Framber Valdez 6-3, 2.64 ERA Saturday’s Starters: Johnny Cueto 0-3, 3.53 ERA vs Justin Verlander 8-2, 1.94 ERA Sunday’s Starters: TBD vs Cristian Javier 3-3, 3.20 ERA What to Watch: Houston comes into the series with the clear pitching advantage. They will have their two best starters going in this matchup so it could be tough sledding for the White Sox. Chicago will need to make sure that their offense carries them within this contest and hope that their starters can dominant. Justin Verlander has been lights out this season despite returning from injury and he has helped Houston remain atop the division. The Astros at home can be a tough team to beat so the White Sox will need to be ready.
  12. These guys were caught by the CPD father of one of the kids robbed. If your goal is to steal a cell phone, don't do it in Mt Greenwood.
  13. Somewhat normal lineups the last week or so. I'd still stick with Pollock leading off and Anderson second, Robert can bat 5th with Moncada 6th, Berger 7th, Mendick 8th and catcher 9th
  14. In the 7th inning, they are going to cover 3 innings with position players? Told ya it was goign to be hot one
  15. After a nice Flag Day victory the boys go for the sweep. While the starters did nothing to help the bullpen the last two days, and there is a pretty good chance a short outing will happen again today, the bullpen has held their own this series as opposed to what the Texas Rangers did to them. A win today gets the White Sox that much closer to .500. Below is ESPN's take......oddly the Detroit Free Press has a preview but Chicago media does not.... Odds are, it will be a close game Don't confuse Alex Faedo with Erick Fedde if you plan on wagering on today's game. PITCHING PROBABLES: White Sox: Vince Velasquez (0-0); Tigers: Alex Faedo (1-2, 2.92 ERA, 1.24 WHIP, 28 strikeouts) LINE: White Sox -115, Tigers -105; over/under is 9 1/2 runs BOTTOM LINE: The Chicago White Sox play the Detroit Tigers after Andrew Vaughn's four-hit game on Tuesday. Detroit has a 24-37 record overall and a 15-19 record in home games. Tigers pitchers have a collective 3.78 ERA, which ranks seventh in the AL. Chicago has gone 16-14 in road games and 29-31 overall. The White Sox have a 9-25 record in games when they have allowed at least one home run. The teams meet Wednesday for the sixth time this season. The White Sox lead the season series 4-1. TOP PERFORMERS: Jonathan Schoop has 10 doubles, a triple, five home runs and 18 RBI while hitting .189 for the Tigers. Harold Castro is 11-for-38 with two doubles over the past 10 games. Luis Robert ranks third on the White Sox with a .284 batting average, and has five doubles, six home runs, eight walks and 24 RBI. Vaughn is 14-for-37 with seven RBI over the past 10 games. LAST 10 GAMES: Tigers: 3-7, .209 batting average, 5.42 ERA, outscored by 34 runs White Sox: 6-4, .286 batting average, 3.35 ERA, outscored opponents by 10 runs
