Great, great episode.

QUOTE (BearSox @ Apr 10, 2008 -> 10:07 PM) Kinda OT here, but Americans need to give their support to the troops, and stop making/seeing anti-american War movies... I would love to see just one patriotic film made for our troops. All we have out there is garbage to try and degrade our troops. What films would those be?

Digiorno Ultimate is what I usually have. A little pricey for a frozen pizza ($6 on sale), but much better than the rest.

QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 9, 2008 -> 12:51 PM) Midway through Season 3, what were fans reactions when "Expose" originally aired? I watched two episodes here on my day off, than this episode comes up. It was kind of entertaining but had nothing to do with the storylines and the only thing that came out of it worth a darn was Charlie's admission that he "kidnapped" Sun. It sucked. That was when Season 3 was really in a rut. They tried working those background characters into the story a little more, but the overall fan reaction was very negative so they just got rid of them.

I think it looks horrible, but I've got no problem with them doing it.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 9, 2008 -> 12:10 PM) Again, say what you want about Macowiak as a CF, but I simply can't recall him ever hampering our offense... if he did, then he wouldn't have been in CF ahead of Anderson. 2006 stat line: OBP-SLG-AVG .365 .404 .290 His OBP was tied with Ozuna for 5th best on the team.

The OFFICIAL "I was wrong about Joe Crede" thread
StrangeSox replied to shawnhillegas's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE (sox-r-us @ Apr 8, 2008 -> 08:15 PM) The reason it is a flashpoint for debate is because all off-season some of these "sox fans" (wink, wink) kept crying about how Kenny was a joke and how the Sox were going to be joke; then this whining became larger when some of the roster moves were made - like picking Crede over Fields and picking Masset over Wasserman. Both Masset and Crede have contributed and justified their selections UNTIL NOW (this is subject to change since only 7 games have gone by); so obviously some of these "sox fans" are all defensive now because they have been exposed to know little to nothing about baseball and winning. Some of these "sox fans" would have much preferred that the Sox would have been 0-7 right now so that they could thump their chests and show how they know more than Kenny W and Ozzie G. Negativity is what is promoted here.....sad, but true. Quod Erat Demonstrandum. You seem to be more excited about rubbing this in people faces than anything else. -
Sox tacked on two more runs. 5-0 in the 7th.

QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Apr 8, 2008 -> 12:50 PM) Joe Biden is ripping into Petraeus and Crocker. He sounded like a whiny, annoying jerk. Edit: Still sounding the same. Completely condescending. Sounds mad/ annoyed whenever they talk of progress made.

The OFFICIAL "I was wrong about Joe Crede" thread
StrangeSox replied to shawnhillegas's topic in Pale Hose Talk
It's a win-win with Crede playing like he is. Either he's helping the Sox win games or he's building up his trade value. Fields won't be ruined by some time in the minors. I had serious doubts, but I've been wrong so far. -

QUOTE(greg775 @ Apr 7, 2008 -> 03:55 PM) thanks, i'm in san anton. thought i'd ask you guys for the update. is the game free on the web anywhere? mlb.com? You can follow MLB gameday's pitch-by-pitch. Sort of like a high-tech boxscore. No free radio or TV. Radio is only $15/ year, so I bit th bullet and signed up. -

QUOTE(daa84 @ Apr 7, 2008 -> 12:19 PM) i know im in the vast minority, but i love joe morgan...he has a way better baseball mind than alot of people give him credit for...everyone says hes stupid...hes not at all...perhaps hes not entirely educated about the players in the game today, but he is plenty educated about the actual game play...plus i get the sense that the guy truly enjoys a good baseball game, and has a deep appreciation for the subtleties that exist in each and every game...and i personally think he communicates that very well....i feel if there is every a trick on a good pick off move from a pitcher, or a mechanical flaw with a base runner, he picks up on it and lets his audience know.....hes a throwback type guy, which is what i love with announcers (why i like hawk and harry callis and vin scully) you just hear alot about ERAs of baseball that you dont hear about many other places... not to mention goddamn that guy had one hell of a swing He's not necessarily stupid, he is just very biased most of the time. It gets annoying to watch. -
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Apr 7, 2008 -> 11:09 AM) Nothing???? Nothing. Though I don't particularly care for their "main" beer, Boston Lager. Aside from that and their cream stout, I love everything of theirs that I've tried.

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Apr 7, 2008 -> 06:58 AM) The first hour or so will be mlbradio at work. The second hour or so I'll be in transit and will probably have to make a phone call or two to know what's going on. Finally I'll be home for the last few innings. This workingman's cr@p is for the birds. That'll be the same for me.

I love me some Sam Adams.

QUOTE(mr_genius @ Apr 5, 2008 -> 07:34 PM) For shame Al Gore. The Goracle help start up a corporation which turns over dissident names to the Chinese government, often resulting in execution of the before mentioned dissident. But I think the donated money to Dems, so it's all good. And their motto is something like "do no harm". so it must be true. I thought that was Yahoo.

QUOTE(BearSox @ Apr 5, 2008 -> 10:00 AM) All 14 of those questions are valid. I see nothing wrong with them. No one knows anything really about Obama. It'd be nice if he actually got some hardball questions instead of the usual crap he gets on shows like the view. Just take a look at the logic train of this question: "Mr. Obama, your church preaches that Jesus was black. It is fair to assume that you believe this. If you believe that Jesus was black, why do you and Minister Farrakhan hate Jews, and will your hatred of Jews affect their voting?" Yeah. Totally valid and fair.

QUOTE(G&T @ Apr 5, 2008 -> 08:18 AM) Its blacked out completely on Saturday if Fox has the rights. Which they do. I'm screwed too. MLB blackout rules are retarded. Go Sox! -
QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 4, 2008 -> 09:55 PM) You have this backwards. As 98% of people have equity in their homes, and owe less than its value, even if the bank holding the loan were to "collapse", the owners would still be in the black. Even if some company swoops in and buys the debt, they won't want to call that debt, because that would be idiotic - they'd lose a ton of money. So in reality, your A>B is backwards. Its B>A. If suddenly people stop being able to pay their mortgages, then banks start to collapse or get in trouble. I didn't necessarily mean it that way. If a large chunk of our banking system went under, our economy in general would be in for a world of hurt. Just about everyone loses in that situation.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Apr 4, 2008 -> 02:42 PM) Oh, but it's ok for the Federal Reserve to step in and tell all of those banks that made hundreds of billions of dollars worth of bad loans and purchases that they don't have to worry because the Federal Reserve will bail them out? Isn't that EXACTLY the same thing, and can't the exact argument be made about that? If bailing out people who took out bad loans is bad policy because it's putting trust in people who have already engaged in risky behavior, why should we put so much faith in bankers? If the entire banking system collapses, we can all lose our homes.
