QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 05:11 PM) Are you talking in left or in center? There's no excuse for the ones in center. I was talking about CF.

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 05:03 PM) Anderson is the superior defender and no one will convince me otherwise. He is when he's not dogging it out there. He hasn't looked spectacular in his time out there. He's made some fantastic plays and showed what he's capable of, but he's also made some dumb plays.

Hopefully tonight's game is less "interesting" than last night's.

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 03:28 PM) And lets not kid ourselves, We ALL watch the selection weeks of American Idol. Speak for yourself, I've watched a grand total of 10 minutes of the first American Idol, and that's been it.

QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 03:30 PM) Same could be true of Ozuna at DH. It's just another odd decision from Guillen. Even when you look at the lineup, and do everything possible not to vomit, you'd assume that Anderson in LF would be a fairly easy decision. Guess not. Yes, but my guess is that Ozzie's thinking Ozuna adds a lot more offensively than BA, so if you're going to sub late, better to have Ozuna still in instead of Anderson. Lets just hope Ozuna doesn't manage to give up any runs out there before that time.

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 02:47 PM) I dont know what is entertaining about it, but it works. Those shows draw in viewers by the thousands millions, and they love it. Some people like living vicariously through others on tv I guess My wife loves that crap, so she doesnt give me a hard time about watching sports. Its a good tradeoff for us Fixed. Yeah, I guess watching people get paid millions of dollars to throw balls and swing pieces of wood doesn't make much sense, either. I'll just never understand the appeal of "Dancing with the stars," "American Idol," etc.

QUOTE(Damen @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 02:26 PM) Wow. So here's an obvious question...why not put Anderson in the field? If we're stuck into having Ozuna, Anderson, Erstad, and Mack all starting, why don't we DH Ozuna, since he's by far the biggest liability in the OF. Anderson in Center, Erstad in Left, Mack in Right? What's the problem with that? It makes too much sense? I'd really like it if someone could explain this one to me. Anderson didn't look the greatest out in CF yesterday, but Ozuna looked bad out in LF.

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 03:07 PM) And its not like they are freak injuries. I don't feel bad at all for the Sox getting burned by Podsednik. It was clear he wasn't healthy last season, yet we brought him back, and sure enough, but April 20th, the Sox were already dealing with injury timetables. And now with Dye mysteriously missing from the lineup tonight, we've got an OF of 4 fourth OF's, at best.

I just don't get "reality" TV. Lame contests and following other people around and watching their lives on TV. What's entertaining about that?

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 12:02 PM) There may be some that are up to par, but in my personal experience (4 american cars) they have been crap. But as i stated, I meant American muscle cars from the years that he mentioned. Yeah, I just wanted to give the American auto manufacturers a little bit of credit for taking steps in the right direction. I don't know how much power you're looking for, but you might want to consider the GTO. New 06's are going for well below sticker on dealer lots (27-28k, I think), and they're great GT coupes. The interior is pretty nice, and the seats are the most comfortable I've ever sat in. The G35 is probably going to be slightly more refined, with less power but better handling. In my opinion, you can't go wrong with either car.

QUOTE(DrunkBomber @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 11:41 AM) I saw them talking about this on the news. This is really interesting. I wonder how long until they send something out there to check it out. If it's 20 light years away, it'd take millenia to get a spacecraft to the surface of the planet.

QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 09:34 AM) Right...I've thought about leasing cause I put hardly any miles on my car. I walk to the train and take the train to work. The only time I put miles on my car was when I was dating my wife. In the last 2 1/2 years though I've probably only put 6,000 miles on my car. A lease and a new car every couple years would be nice, but man I'd just hate to have a payment every month. I'm undecided, but hey I don't know anything anyway I drive a chick car. Hey, its not just a chick car! The Eclipse that my dad drives was originally purchased by my gay brother! QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 03:15 PM) No offense, but im not looking for the horrendous build quality of an american made muscle car. As evident by my current car, i dont want to be running 9's on the track. I must have missed this the first time through. American auto manufacturers are right up there with everyone else in terms of quality now. The perception that they're crap is still lingering from them building crap for decades.

QUOTE(JUSTgottaBELIEVE @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 06:41 AM) didnt see much of the game yesterday but how did BA look? i saw he was 1-4 on the night Bad at the plate. Made some good plays in the outfield, but looked lazy out there.

QUOTE(max power @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 12:49 AM) Oh, I see. Heart attack avoided. Yeah, he tweaked a muscle on his side. No reason to risk getting him seriously injured. Supposedly was available to PH if needed tonight. Let's get Danks his first win!
-
QUOTE(SoxAce @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 12:47 AM) Finally someone giving props. Congrats on your first major league win Boone! Hopefully Danks can finally get a break tomorrow. Good call, didn't even realize it until now.

QUOTE(danman31 @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 12:34 AM) WHO CARES?! Runs are runs, I'm sorry to single you out, but so many people here act like runs not scored by HRs count double or some bulls***. The offense relied on HRs last year and scored a s*** ton of runs, good for 3rd in the league (2 behind Cleveland for 2nd). Look at the splits. They were not a very good run scoring team in the second half. They were below average in singles, 2b, 3b, OBP, and most other offensive categories. But they were above average in HR's. Swinging for HR's all the time leads to a lot of runners LOB and a lot of really easy outs. It also leads to this team getting shut down by bad pitchers just going low-and-away all game.

I'll agree with everything Chisoxfn said. With how soon you're looking to flip the car, a lease makes the most sense. And really, if you're looking to purchase a car to keep for a while, it's better to just go used and get a car that's only a year or two old coming off of a short lease.

QUOTE(SoxAce @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 12:25 AM) One of the stranges games I've ever watched. It's certainly up there. I'm sure BBTN/ SC will have fun with this one.

Nice 1-2-3 by Bobby to end it!

Is it just me or has Bobby looked progressively better in almost every appearance?

K's looking to end it!
