In the UK, a big part of their current surge are children who aren't able to be vaccinated yet.

It's about prioritization since vaccine supply is still an issue in most of the world. The US is now sitting on a glut of supply so it isn't as much of a prioritization issue there. The CDC still recommends that everyone 12+ get vaccinated.

Israel only recently dropped their indoor mask mandate, but they're snapping it back in place thanks to the Delta variant. Their vaccination rate had stalled pretty hard as their daily cases dropped to near zero but is picking up again. Portugal is also restoring some restrictions And the UK is getting hammered: The mRNA vaccines are still highly effective, but not as strong as against WT and earlier variants. The non-mRNA vaccines are struggling. The unvaccinated (including many millions of children) remain at greatest risk of the greatly increased spread and impact of Delta.

MLB is handling this in the dumbest and most alienating way possible, which should surprise absolutely no one.

Bad tornado in Woodridge area last night. Watching WGN this morning, both of my old neighborhoods there got hit. Homes just a block away from our old house were pretty heavily damaged, and the panned over some serious damage to the condo building we used to live in as well.
