I can't wait for pace to get the chance to mess up a top 5 pick in the 2022 draft -

If I were Ryan pace I'd retire with my many millions out of shame and never be seen in public again -
Over half a million people are dead. It's been a very bleak year.

Dalton and Trubisky are both noodle arms. Dalton is less mobile but can actually throw mid/short to the left side of the field. -

The roster is older and worse than the 8 win teams. -

this is like arguing about whether cans of purina or friskies cat food tastes better. both are going to be awful. The Chicago Bears have spent $40,000,000 and a fourth round pick to bring us the Dalton v. Foles 2021 Training Camp Competition. -

gotta be satire. has to be. my brain can't process it being sincere. didn't think I could still be surprised at how terrible Bears ownership and management are and will always be, but here we are. -
If anyone is a resident of Lockport township, the fire department is doing a vaccine clinic the next two weekends. PM for a sign up link. Pretty sure they're strictly checking residency.

Continued promising results out of Israel: The big hurdle on the horizon is the E484K variants from SA and elsewhere. Keep your fingers crossed that the vaccines can keep R below 1 if those become widespread.

Try local facebook groups, those can help sometimes. Vaccine finders like getmyvaccine.org are kinda reliable and may help. You can call a few local pharmacies directly and ask if they have a "wastage" list or something similar and ask to be put onto that. I got lucky randomly checking Mariano's website for a few days as did my parents. Meijer has a wait list you can ask to be put on as well. You can try Jewel-Osco (kroger's) website to check for availability. My doc at DMG told me a week and a half ago that he expects the vaccines to be rolled out to primary care clinics by the end of this month as long as supply keeps up, for what it's worth. That would likely be the J&J single dose since it's easier to distribute. e: FWIW, Pritzker is trying to beat Biden's goal of everyone in Illinois eligible for a vaccine by May 1st.

A number of European countries halted AZ vaccinations over blood clotting concerns.

J&J efficacy timeline, in graphical form. really rising to the occasion
-
fwiw my doctor at DuPage Medical Group expects them to be expanding into the next phases primarily with J&J vaccines at their regular offices by the end of the month. e: "next phases" in this case would be 1b+ and 1c, not the more generally available phase 2.

Source for that?

even then I'm sure they'd find a way to make it ok unless there was a notarized sworn statement by both parties that they were willingly and knowingly committing a federal crime with a cite to the specific statute
-
you can try either of these: https://vaccinefinder.org/ https://getmyvaccine.org/ Or call directly. Jewel, Mariano's, Walgreens, CVS, county health department, your PCP's office would all be good places to try.

UK is doing 6-17 with the Oxford/AZ vaccine son. Pfizer's full enrolled in their 12-16 range and will slowly ramp down in age every couple of months or so. Fauci said kids maybe by September, but he's always floating different dates for things so take that with a grain of salt. I haven't really heard much of anything about trials for kids under 6. I'm assuming it's going to be late 2022 before my kids can get vaccinated.

Because it's a very stupid idea that can directly kill people when there isn't highly effective treatment available.

Some links earlier in this thread, but: Pfizer and Moderna didn't have to go up against some of the vaccine-resistant strains that J&J, Novavax and others did in their trials. And either way, the J&J vaccines still show great efficacy at preventing hospitalization and death. *maybe* you still have a crappy week of COVID with the J&J vaccine that you wouldn't have gotten if you had one of the mRNA ones, but you'll live and you'll stay out of the hospital. If I were in your place, it'd take the first available.
