  1. His complete failure of leadership has helped lead to more than three thousand Americans dying every single day. Give it to someone who hasn't completely fucked up first imo. There is really no argument that Mike "no second wave" Pence deserves it ahead of anyone else.
  2. I don't know how many people it'll convince. But the whole of the federal political class is at the front of the line. Now, sure, most of them are ancient and higher risk anyway, but it's pretty awful that they completely mismanage everything for going on a year now and then get the best possible treatments and the first doses of vaccine.
  3. Between this and all of the political leaders who have completely failed us being at the front of the line for a vaccine, not exactly a great look
  4. Probably should not bother listening to garbage propagandists who lie constantly and knowingly, imo. You don't follow him because it's meant for a credulous base.
  5. My friend saw the delivery to Silver Cross yesterday. Said she's never seen a bigger police escort.
  6. FRRRROM KALAMZOO MICHIGAN, AT -70C....PFIZER VACCINE!!!!!
  7. Fantastic news on Moderna. If it really is preventing infection and thus spread, that's so much better than just preventing disease. Pfizer's vaccine uses the same platform and similar spike protein target, but I don't think they've released any data one way or the other on that. But man, this bipartisan relief bill looks brutal. Hardly any new stimulus, but strong corporate liability, waiving OSHA FLSA and CRA, and allowing $50k fines for any lawsuits deemed frivolous.
  8. 99.9% survival rate. The only possible outcomes are complete recovery with zero impact or death.
  9. The Fighting Irish got their name from when a bunch of ND students went hog wild on the Klan, so no
  10. they won't have the SoS stamp so they won't matter, but they're not giving up sedition
  11. I dunno I think the Radical Republicans were 100% right to deny slaver states representation and to use that to pass the post-war amendments. Now obviously, we're not at a point of open rebellion. We're are lawfare-to-destroy-democracy-and-establish-single-party-rule. At what point does sedition cross the line to something beyond the pale? Shots fired?
  12. Should there be any consequences for elected officials taking seditious actions?
  13. Ex post and ex ante makes a pretty big difference
  14. Lol that the majority of the GOP is explicitly anti democracy, just lol
  15. I think it's pretty bad that 126 members of House,a number of senators, more than a dozen state AG's and many many state level reps are willing and eager to do some sedition for Trump, even if it's a cynical move to rile up their base or distract Democrats or whatever excuse is proffered.
  16. Guys if you look at the image I posted, it says "major deadly events" and isn't a numbered list. The snopes article applies more to the tweets they reference than what's going on in that picture. Why would you do this
  17. Three thousand more dead every day from now until st patrick's day Open'r up
