  1. Is any other franchise this historically pathetic at qb?
  2. Neera Tanden is not a step in the right direction if you're from the Bernie or even Warren wing of the Democratic party. A lot of the progressive base is worried that the centrist ghouls who are going to fill Biden's admin are going to be all-in on yet another round of crippling, brutal austerity in the face of yet another protracted economic disaster. And, of course, the looming global disaster of climate change, where every day we fail to act makes things much harder to fix down the road.
  3. bears all time offensive players are all from decades ago
  4. this seems ill advised, all things considered
  5. Airline industry trade group "studies" have demonstrated that it is perfectly safe to fly* *they're garbage but got plenty of media play
  6. If anything, 2020 should show the GOP that they don't need to fear high-turnout elections. But it'll take awhile to shift a deeply embedded mindset like that. Probably for Dems, too, who assume that higher turnout means they win.
  7. Mainstream GOP and now capital seems to be breaking publicly with Trump
  8. Nobody knows what the other GOP appointee, who is the former MI House GOP counsel I think, is going to do. If he deadlocks, the MI SoS will file a lawsuit immediately to compel them to certify or face contempt of court charges. If he votes to certify, it's over 3-1.
  9. I'm gonna camp outside of the Pfizer factory like people usually do for Black Friday sales. Get that primo vaccine right off the line while it's still hot. e: makes me wonder what the security profile around these facilities and the transportation/storage is going to look like.
  10. Yet they voted just last week to approve more judges, including a 33 year old with barely any experience, for lifetime appointments.
  11. If I understood Dr. Murphy on WGN this morning, it's kinda a weird result. If they gave people the full dose first and then the booster dose, it was only 60%. But there was a subset of 3000 participants that got a half dose first and then the full dose, and this group had 90% effective. When you combine the two, that's where you get the 70%. He had never heard of a vaccine like that before, but AZ/Oxford obviously had some preliminary research that made them think to try this.
  12. Thanksgiving travel down a whopping 10% Airports packed Hospitals across the country filling up and medical professionals reaching their breaking points We'll have several thousand deaths every single day by Christmas.
  13. No, it would open a vacancy on the DC circuit that McConnell wouldn't let Biden fill.
  14. Remember, the Senate GOP's core requirement for any further relief bill is full legal immunity for businesses.
  15. That's the whole thing though, what constitutes "each side" depends on both time and place. The Democratic Party would be a center-right party in a whole lot of the rest of the world today. Their economic positions today would have been center-right from roughly the 30's-70's in this country. There's no inherent virtue in picking a compromise position between the US's two dominate parties simply because it's between them. e: there's nothing inherently good about being 100% in line with either particular party either, of course.
