  1. Interesting article on the Bears' long struggles in The Athletic (paywalled). It goes over how the Bears have consistently saddled an incoming GM or coach with the previous regime's coach or QB. https://theathletic.com/3069761/2022/01/14/it-all-starts-with-the-mccaskeys-how-the-bears-ended-up-in-an-endless-cycle-of-inheriting-the-previous-regimes-trash/
  2. This is ultimately the first and most important owner for the Bears to clear. Ultimately, the owners are going to be the ones making the decision on who to hire as The Guy, whether it's President of Football Operations or GM.
  3. Guess I haven't paid much attention to how terrible this roster is. Whoops.
  4. Ryan Pace sabotaging the team on the way out Or making what he thinks are good moves before he gets promoted Bad news either way
  5. Looks like people across the sports world are stepping up https://www.si.com/media/2021/12/29/jeff-dickerson-gofundme-late-espn-reporters-son-raises-over-400k
  6. Rumor the other day was he had really aggressive cancer, not sure it was confirmed though
  7. When was the last time the bears were league average or better on offense?
  8. The Bears have been a mostly bad team for most of our lives with an occasional good season every 5-7 years. It's the same boring conversation because it's the same boring team that never has a good offense ever.
  9. Several games potentially being cancelled or reschedule thanks to COVID outbreaks

Pfizer saying that 2 doses for under 5's doesn't provide sufficient protection and they now need to test 3 doses is a real gut punch.
  11. Chicago has the second lowest amount of picks in Rounds 1-4 since 2015 at only 24. For all his trading up, Pace has drafted a total of 5 first round picks. Justin Fields, Roquan Smith, Trubisky, Leonard Floyd, and Kevin White. Three of these players aren't on the team anymore.
  12. Thanks! Do you have Manfred's number? I think he'd be interested in my plan.
  13. IMO turn every team into worker-owned collectives eliminate labor-ownership issues once and for all really it's the only logical solution
  14. Hub Arkush has also said that it was George McCaskey's call to start Fields. Kinda explains all the absolutely terrible plans Nagy was running for him. Spite-based coaching.
