  1. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Jun 22, 2006 -> 09:21 PM) Sporting News has these lineups in Cards SS Eckstein CF Luna 1B Pujols 3B Rolen RF Encarnacion LF Taguchi DH Spiezio C Molina 2B Miles Sox LF Podsednik 2B Cintron DH Thome 1B Konerko RF Dye C Pierzynski 3B Crede CF Mackowiak SS Uribe I would guess that they DH Pujols tonight. Spiezio can play first can't he?
  2. QUOTE(tigerfan @ Jun 20, 2006 -> 06:25 PM) Are you a shoe salesman? No Ma'am Men Against Amazonian Masterhood
  3. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jun 20, 2006 -> 03:54 PM) I read in the USA that at the earliest he'd be ready later this week and most likely at the start of next week. He won't be playing against the Sox. Just rest up and get healthy for Detroit Albert!
  4. So Pujols is off the DL? If so i wouldn't be surprised to see him DH.
  5. Monday's on Boers and Bernstein from 4-6 when Steve Stone is on with them. SOme of the best radio you can get. How anyone can stand Mike North I will never figure out. Mike and Mike can be good but they always talk about the "hot" topic like steroids, etc. Rosenbloom and Salsbury is a pretty good show. B&B and MJH are the 2 best shows and I was pissed when B&B moved into the same slot. Usually go with B&B
  6. I just want to know where he got his Glamor Shots done (see avatar.) What a sexy man.
  7. I can't remember if I was in a SoxTalk league last season, but I would like to be in one this year.
  8. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 04:13 PM) This is an excellent deal. Boston's bullpen is without a lefty reliever that I would call remotely reliable, and the White Sox needed another righty reliever. Riske was good, not great but good, with Cleveland last year, and his absence due to the Marte/Crisp deal has really hurt the Tribe. Too bad Kenny couldn't convince them to take Boone Logan.
  9. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 06:58 PM) Anyone who loves the super taco, knows not to tell you where it is. Its in the same stand as the corned beef though. Both are awesome. So down the right field line? Maybe across from the Steak Pita stand?
  10. QUOTE(Jake @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 05:02 PM) By looking at your avatar, I've decided they are 0% accurate and you just made them up to get a reaction out of us poor soxtalkers. My Avatar is one of the funniest pictures I have ever seen. It is the perfect picture to show how much of a tool that guy is.
  11. The bullpen has been a lot better since Cliff went down (June 5th). 21.1 IP, 13 H, 4 ER, 4 BB, 19 K, 2 Wins, 4 Saves, 1.70 ERA.* *These are stats I compiled. They may not be 100% accurate, but are close.
  12. QUOTE(gar102 @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 01:50 PM) I keep hearing how great the Super Taco is, where can you get one at the park? Anything with Super before it has to be tried. I second this question. Where the hell is the super taco? What do they put on the super taco that makes it "super"?
  13. QUOTE(My Dixie Normus @ Jun 13, 2006 -> 07:48 PM) I cook all my food outside before the game. The beer is good. Good call. I am a huge fan of the Sweet Onion Bubba Burger with pepper jack cheese, grilled onions, and bacon that I make while tailgating.
  14. On Friday I had the Italian Sausage with peppers, onions, and red sauce and it was f***ing delicious. Love the Polish with the onions, the brats with, and of course the steak pita.
  15. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 06:45 PM) I gotta say I am glad to see Tracey get the call up, but I worry about his comfort level out of the pen, especially as rarely as he will be used(hopefully) Hopefully the Sox can pound Verlander tonight to give Tracey an inning or 2 to see what it is like.
  16. Sean Tracey was the call up according to the Score.
  17. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 03:39 PM) I don't think you realize how much Pods, Mack, Ozuna, and Gload's defense would hurt this team in CF. This team is not going to live and die on the offense of the 9 place hitter, a rookie. When are you going to start calling for Uribe's head? He's the veteran, and he's just as bad. Uribe is not nearly as bad. His average is at least on a bit of an upswing and is over .200. Listen, I understand that BA's defense is important, but his bad bat is trumping the decent defense IMO.
  18. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 03:28 PM) That's what these people are asking for. There's no other plausible options outside of the organization. So for those so desperate to send BA down to AAA, that could very well be the only short-term and long-term option this season that's available. I don't think they realize that at all, and it's a shame that they don't. I don't think you realize how much BA's offense hurts this team. And it's a shame that you don't. He's hitting .083 with runners in scoring position and .095 with RISP and 2 out. With the bases loaded? He's .000 (0 for 6).
  19. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 03:25 PM) I just hope you guys are still happy when Mack, Pods, Gload, and Ozuna are playing CF. Where in anything that I have said did I write I want Mack, GLOAD???, or Ozuna to play center? It is obvious that Anderson is not ready to be a major league hitter. You can't have a guy in your lineup that hits worse than the National League average for pitchers. I wouldn't mind if he got a hit here and there and was able to hit the ball to the right side to move runners along, but he can't. KW needs to work his magic.
  20. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 01:45 PM) Something has to be done soon. He is afraid to swing the bat now. Plus, he is starting to take the slump out to the field. Failing to back up Ozuna twice on Sunday, he lost a ball completely last night that Dye caught, etc. Also, on Sunday (don't know if anyone saw this) There was one out and someone popped out to Uribe or Gooch and Anderson was running in to back up the play. When the ball was caught Anderson kept running in all the way to the infield before he realized that it was only 2 outs. He needs to keep his head in the game on defense at least. Dye gave him a look and motioned his arms like what's up? I know everyone likes Anderson and wants to give him a chance, but there has to be better options available somewhere and KW needs to take a look.
  21. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 02:41 PM) Exactly. With the abilities of the rest of the team, defense is a much more important asset for our centerfielder to have, versus offense. I guess, but you still can't have automatic outs in the lineup and every time Anderson strolls up to the plate do any of you think he is going to get a hit? I sure as hell don't. I think it is time for KW to find someone to plug in that still plays decent D but can also hit above .200. Anderson is overmatched as a major league hitter.
  22. QUOTE(alexgtp @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 08:47 PM) That is so funny. I always see the same ppl.. How about that african american woman who sells the split raffle tickets. 2 doooollllaaaaa.... 2 doooollllaaa.. SHe cracks me up! We always chant along side with her!! I usually buy my split the pot tickets from the guy in the wheelchair.
  23. QUOTE(jackparkman @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 08:45 PM) we gave me a one dog and a candy maldanado earlier this year. He seems to know the game very well See. Combine both those cards and you have yourself about a 13 cent discount.
  24. I always liked the beervendor that gave you baseball cards with every purchase. every now and then you would get a decent one.
