Thanks for all the help it turns out I actually will have a car, but I may use that Pace bus thing anyways. And yes GOD is one of you and he has been a stranger on the bus many times. Ironically I am watching VH1's Greatest Songs of the 90s and they just talked about that song.

Ok I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post this but I need some help. I have two tickets to the game on Friday and I'm going with my 14 year old cousin. I just found out I'm not going to have a car available to drive to the game, so I was wondering if anyone knew of alternate ways to get to the game that would be safe. I live in Orland Park which is in the south suburbs for those of you who don't know. Thanks for any help.

Let's look on the bright side, we have played about as poorly and stupidly as possible and we are still going to only lose by 2
-
wow you guys have no confidence in our Sox. 6-0 Baby!
-
I officially hate this team again. Let's clean house and get some young players in here. It seems to be working well for the A's, D Backs, Rays, and Marlins and we have some good young talent on our bench and in the minors.
-
all we have to do is get to Crede and this game is over
-
I like how Street is pitching us away yet we are trying to pull everything.
-
I'm a little biased b/c I was at the Sox/Cubs brawl. Let me tell you being in the stands was just insane during that game, I've never experienced anything else like it.
-
All of the sudden this team is loaded with young talent, where were all these guys last year?
-
If Buerhle pitches another two scoreless innings he may get his ERA below Verlander's. LOL
-
wow we just own the Tigers especially at Comerica

Here's my opinion on Frank and the whole issue:
Frank Thomas has been one of the few clean power hitters during the Steroid Era as well as a leader in the movement to get steroids out of baseball. In 1992 through about 1995 he was arguably the best hitter in baseball, however other players began taking steroids and belting out 40, 50, 60 home runs like it was nothing, while Thomas suffered through an array of injuries during the time while all these other players were becoming superstars because of their seemingly amazing feats. Thomas has managed to hit 500+ home runs over his career howver because of the abundance of players that are doing that now because of the juice he is somehow not even considered a first ballot hall of famer by many. How would you feel if you did something completely clean, yet YOU were the one being punished because you didn't cheat? This is the predicament Thomas faces and I think we should all comend him for doing it the right way, and if he is not a first ballot hall of famer that would be a true symbol of everything that has been wrong with baseball during this time, it's not the ones who cheated getting punished, it's the ones who were clean.

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Sep 30, 2007 -> 08:26 PM)Looks like they did a real quality job this year. Here's what Flash posted as the projected 2007 standings:
Nailed the NL East; undersold Cleveland and 'oversold' Minny; undersold both LAA and Seattle but still had the Angels atop the West; nailed Philly over the Mets; nailed the NL Central; nailed Arizona and San Diego while underselling Colorado. Damn. That's impressive.
wow why even bother playing the season, BP can tell us the standings before the season starts. That is really impressive.

I'm only 17 and I don't remember much before the 2000 season so I only have about 8 years to go off of and i would say it is a toss up between this year and 03. This year at least I was able to give up in June and know we had no chance. 2003 was AWFUL! If you look back on that team they were LOADED with talent and lost to what i consider a crappy Twins team (talent wise). That team teased all season long and then fell flat on their faces, and on top of that the Cubs won their division. I believe the only reason that team missed the playoffs was because of poor fundementals and a lack of will to win, and that falls squarely on the manager. FU Manuel

I can gladly say i watched a total of 5 minutes of this weekends series and that was far too much

sure you may delete this thread, but some people here need to remember that.

Jerry Jerry Jerry

its amazing that this team has not won a game by more than 6 runs this season is that a record?

QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Jul 25, 2007 -> 09:10 PM)Josh Fields is the best player to come up for the Sox in a long time.
I love Fields he is a stud I think possibly a future All Star

Here's what I would do for next year:
CF Free Agent
RF Jerry Owens/Ryan Sweeney
LF Josh Fields
1B Pual Konerko
2B Free Agent/Trade
SS Free Agent/Trade
3B Crede
DH Thome
Let's face it KW has a ton of work to do his sitting around the last year and a half has caused many holes in this team and getting rid of Crede would just create more holes

2-0 since "The Massacre" Maybe we will look back in a year or 2 and say that doubleheader was the day everything turned around.
-
WOW Buerhle only has 6 wins and almost a sub 3 era. We have been giving him the Clemens treatment
-
All I can say is f*** Kenny Williams. This not resigning Buerhle could eventually cost him is job if this team sucks in the next couple of years.
-
2 more runs and then a slam we can still do this
