QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jun 19, 2010 -> 03:23 PM) Keep rollin Santos Rodriguez! His last 10 appearances: 15 IP, 0.57 ERA, 1 ER, 2 BB, 22 K Nice.
-
From his Twitter page: I would assume that Teahen is DL-bound then. As long as he can keep up the hitting, meh.
-
Viciedo on the doorstep of .300, 19 of his 49 hits of the extra base variety, and he might only be 21. Granted, more than 5 BB would be nice, but for all the different sites labeling him a complete bust, he's had a pretty decent season. Also nice to see him get some Hot Sheet love from Baseball America.
-
QUOTE (DirtySox @ May 23, 2010 -> 04:48 PM) 1 BB actually. 1 is close to 0 though. Way to be a buzzkill. Correction made.
-
Hudson: 8 IP, 3 hits, 0 ER, 1 BB, 11 K Yeah, remember when he was bad?

Marquez with 7 scoreless innings, no walks, 6 K's. Danks & Viciedo with doubles, & Lillibridge with a HR.
-
Shirek sporting a 0.71 ERA through 6 starts, nice. The 1.18 BB/9 is also nice. The 5.21 K/9 is not.
-
2nd straight blech outing for Griffith: 4 IP, 5 hits, 5 runs, 2 BB, 4 K's. Even still, his ERA is at 2.94. Burdie's line: .2 IP, 1 hit, 5 ER , 4 BB, 1 K.
-
Hudson through 6 IP: 7 hits, 2 ER (both in the 6th inning), 0 BB, 6 K's. 3 of the 7 hits were in the 6th inning. Looks like he's finding his rhythm again. 94 pitches thrown, so he might be done for the night.
-
Another HR for Viciedo. He had a hot May last year too IIRC. Either way, keep it going.
-
Hudson's line: 7 IP, 4 hits, 0 ER, 2 BB, 10 K's. That'll work.
-
Good outing for Griffith so far: 7 IP, 1 R, 5 H, 0 BB, 6 K's.
-
Jack Cust was non-tendered by the A's. If the Sox can't satisfy their requirement of getting a DH that can play the field a few days a week, this might be a fallback option, while still keeping a roster spot available.

Interesting. From Rotoworld:

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Nov 15, 2009 -> 06:40 PM) Keith Law had Beckham at #5. I'm fairly certain if Albert Pujols was traded to the Sox, Law would come to the conclusion he was terrible. KW must have pissed him off somehow. IIRC, wasn't Law a special assistant with the Blue Jays before joining ESPN? Maybe he was working with them when the Wells-Sirotka trade went down and still doesn't like KW as a result.

QUOTE (SockMe @ Nov 7, 2009 -> 02:36 PM) do u have to pay for the MLB network? Depends on what provider you have. I think Dish Network is the only major carrier not to carry it.

Beckham's Deep Thoughts on playing 2nd base

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Nov 7, 2009 -> 12:35 PM) tell me who and/or how many. And I am talking everyday starters here. GB is expected to change posiiton 3 times in two years? I hope this isn't the impact move that management seems to think will put us over the top cause I am not buying it. Ryne Sandberg began his career at 3B with Philly. When he was traded to the Cubs, they moved him to 2B. Cal Ripken Jr came up with the O's as a 3B & they moved him to SS. Biggio was a catcher, & the Stros moved him to 2B. -
Ugh. Danks went 0-5 with 2 K's and an error. CJ 0-4, also with 2 K's. Morel went 1-4 with a walk. Cassel & Rasner were bad. Bellamy had a scoreless inning with 2 K's.
-
http://mlb.mlb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?si...perwin_scowin_1 Danks batting 2nd, playing RF, Morel batting 7th, playing 3rd. Also, congrats to Danks on being named to the Rising Stars game on Saturday.
-
Peoria shut out 6-0. Danks with 2 of Peoria's 7 hits, also walked, & now batting .424. CJ went 1-3. And still no Viciedo.
-
Peoria so far with 1 lowly hit over 5 innings, both Danks & CJ 0-2.
