Not ALL of the bad decisions, but yes, this was cathartic.
-
This is it. Naylor is an easy double play. Kind of like facing Abreu.
-
This is absolutely stupid. The guy can’t hit.
-
Is he not evidence that the whole approach for the Sox failed?
-
If Ramirez gets a pitch to hit, this is officially the dumbest team in baseball.
-
This is some of the worst bullpen management all season. I guess it’s not all TLR.
-
Bummer is a bummer. This is bad.
-
I can’t make sense of it no matter how hard I try.
-
Honestly, I’d pinch hit Sheets right now.
-
When was Abreu’s last HR?
-
Maybe, but this game is different, and he’s looking to make a difference. Everyone can see it. Use it against him.
-
Naylor is only trying to hit a HR. You should be able to strike him out knowing that. You should also not be giving him anything he can drive.
-
Robert is an automatic out. It’s beyond ridiculous that he is playing right now.
-
Wow. Does that make it official that everyone now recognizes TLR is an albatross for this team and cannot even be around them for games anymore?

Twins @ Guardians series 9/16-9/19
PorkChopExpress replied to DoUEvenShift's topic in Pale Hose Talk
It seems to happen all the time, but maybe it's just because the Sox actually suck, and legitimately can't beat bad teams while Cleveland can, so it appears like bad teams lay down for the Guardians and play hard against the Sox. Either way, I agree that the Sox won't handle the Twins like the Guardians just did. -
9/17: Sox at DET, game 2 (5:10c/6:10e)

That is as hard as Robert can hit the ball right now. He should not be playing. -
Twins are burning through their bullpen tonight. That’s not going to bode well with 5 games over the next 4 days.
-
Yes, but more disappointing is the fact that the Sox are trailing the Guardians by so much at this point in the season that they need to rely on other teams to get the job done for them.
-
So we should expect a rainout?

He's great, no doubt, and has filthy stuff. But he (as well as most of the White Sox pitching staff) needs to figure out how to become more efficient, and go after hitters with his filthy stuff. It's so frustrating to watch him get ahead of batters 0-2 or 1-2 and then wind up in full counts and/or walking them, and throwing 70+ pitches before the 4th inning. He's gone 6 or more innings in only 14 of his 29 starts. By Comparison, Verlander (yes, he's a freak of nature) has gone 6 or more in 20 of 24 starts, Shane McClanahan 19 of 24, Cole Gerrit 25 of 29, Alek Manoah 22 of 28. So yes, he's a great pitcher, might even win the Cy Young this year, but in my opinion, he has to improve his approach before he tops the historical charts.
