  1. Will be interesting to see how it plays out. Cubs were definitely desperate for a closer. They’ve paid through their nose to acquire their last four closers now between cash and young talent.
  2. Haha. Thanks man but you didn’t answer the question.
  3. He’s only 8 months younger than Eloy. They should be calling this kid up to the bigs soon. No way you should keep him down until late April if healthy.
  4. Despite the terrible ERA, Nova is a serviceable #5.
  5. Considering Yolmer’s dreadful start to the season, pretty amazing stuff there
  6. The power isn’t there yet but Yolmer Sanchez has now passed Manny Machado in both batting average and on base percentage. Quickly closing the gap in wRC+ as well ?
  7. Without a doubt it was a talented group but I like this group better. I think this group could produce a hall of famer and a few MVP seasons.
  8. I like this group better than the early 2000s personally. I think the early 1990s was better, though, this group may be a bit deeper.
  9. There’s a dozen or so legit prospects I left out but just trying to highlight the top prospects as well as those already contributing at the big league level.
  10. When is the last time the White Sox had this type of young, controllable talent throughout the organization? Early 1990s? C - James McCann/Zack Collins 1B - Andrew Vaughn 2B - Nick Madrigal 3B - Yoan Moncada SS - Tim Anderson LF - Eloy Jimenez CF - Luis Robert RF - Luis Basabe OF - Charlie Tilson OF - Ryan Cordell INF - Yolmer Sanchez UTIL - Leury Garcia SP - Lucas Giolito SP - Michael Kopech SP - Dylan Cease SP - Dane Dunning SP - Carlos Rodon SP/RP - Reynaldo Lopez CL - Alex Colome RP - Aaron Bummer RP - Jace Fry RP - Evan Marshall RP - Hansen, Hamilton, Thompson, Burdi, etc. Those guys are all 30 and under and controllable through next season at a minimum. Pretty impressive list.
  11. And Eloy is a bat only guy. Robert clearly is not. Even if Robert posts a 700ish OPS his rookie year in MLB, he will still be a very productive player due to his defense and baserunning
  12. Each individual player is different. Just because he’s come up through the Sox organization doesn’t mean he will follow the same path of all those before him in the organization.
  13. How many minor league games did Juan Soto play before his MLB promotion?
  14. He’s gotta be the Sox pick then no? Seems like a no brainer here.
  15. Any signability concerns with Hampton this late?
  16. Shucks. Figured it was a stretch. Hopefully Misner or Davidson get there but also doubtful.
  17. Any chance Hoese falls to the Sox in the second round?
  18. Scooter would be a nice signing and shouldn’t break the bank by any means.
