  1. If he pitches 150+ innings this season is that really an “innings limit”? Sure seems like 150+ innings is a full season’s workload by today’s standards.
  2. Thing is, he already blew past the magical innings limit most had imposed on him for this season. It’s only July 1 ?
  3. It’s funny that a month ago I was being ridiculed for saying I thought Crochet would have slightly less but similar trade value this July to what Cease had last offseason. Now some folks thinking he will have even higher trade value. I don’t necessarily agree with that but at least now you see the light. Crochet is a stud, magical innings limit be damned.
  4. Crochet now leading all mlb pitchers in both bWAR and fWAR. Trade value going ⬆️
  5. So god damn efficient. 7 IP, 11 Ks on 88 pitches ?
  6. Decent chance the boys sweep tomorrow with Crochet back on the bump.
  7. Sox just need to move out of the AL Central, which is apparently the best division in MLB. Sox have a better winning % against the ALE, ALW, and NL.
  8. Yea but the Rangers have a worse record than the Nationals and no way they’re worse. NL sucks this year.
  9. Nah. They hadn’t played the Rockies until this weekend and boy are they BAD.
  10. How can the Sox be the worst team in MLB history when they’re not even the worst team in MLB this season?
  11. Robert quietly has a .773 OPS. That’s better than I would have expected given how shitty he’s looked at the plate most games.
  12. One mistake but still a quality start. Well done Drew.
  13. At best it’s probably a Middleton type return (Carela) but I’d still take it and be happy with it.
  14. The next 12-18 months will certainly define Elias’ tenure with the Orioles..
  15. Has Bummer really figured it out though? His ERA this season with the Braves is in line with his career ERA. I think he’s still a hard guy to trust in high leverage situations (like Kopech) and decent middle relievers just don’t carry much trade value at all.
  16. I have no idea if contending teams will buy into Soroka’s recent resurgence as a reliever but if the Sox can swing him for a 40 FV type prospect that’s better than I thought they’d get for him back in April.
  17. His average fastball velocity is higher this season than during any other season in his career. I’m sure part of that has to do with half his outings being in relief. Relief pitchers are weird. Some guys that absolutely suck as starters end up being very good relievers in their late 20s or early 30s. He’s only 26 still.
  18. Depends on how you value Kjerstad. I’m not as high on him as many on here are.
  19. Mostly because I don’t think Robert has a ton of value at this point. I think that’s about the best you’re going to get for him right now.
  20. Hmm.. I actually like all of those trades for the Sox. Orioles basically have to move Hjerstad ASAP. He’s already 25 (10 months younger than Andrew Vaughn), barely getting at bats with the Os, and when he does get at bats not performing particularly well.
  21. Isn’t it supposed to be a different font color?
