  1. We aren't last! http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/stats/aggreg...amp;season=2007 in all seriousness though, i guess he has been teaching better the last week or so
  2. QUOTE(knightni @ May 21, 2007 -> 09:47 PM) The Palmiero story is true. just admit it you dont like erstad but its hard to argue the fact that he has more clutch hits than any other player on the sox this year the dude isnt fazed in pressure situations
  3. QUOTE(rafacosta @ May 21, 2007 -> 09:37 PM) Don't jinx them! i dont believe in jinxs
  4. thank you for the slumpbuster cubs! the boys are back!
  5. QUOTE(PartyForFree @ May 17, 2007 -> 07:50 PM) Yes, now we wait. Once PSO verifies your info with Absolute Poker, they send you an email telling you to launch their chat application. Then they call you to verify that you're a real person, then it takes a couple of days and they deposit the money. Double-check your PSO account to check the status of your promotion, just in case your spam filter grabs their email. how do i know the status of my promotion? I don't see anything under the promotions tab that tells me anything other than other available promotions, I'm confused.
  6. QUOTE(RME JICO @ May 14, 2007 -> 12:11 PM) Solid pitching is much better IMO. If you have solid pitching, you are going to win ballgames. Even if that is by getting HRs only, scoring on errors, etc. Solid hitting also doesn't always translate to scoring a lot of runs. If you look at the playoff teams from the Wild Card era, a very high percentage had a top pitching staff, where as the Cleveland Indians in the late 90's were the only good offense/bad pitching to make it deep in the playoffs. Solid pitching >>> Solid hitting yea good point and i tend to agree with you QUOTE(fathom @ May 14, 2007 -> 12:09 PM) The Sox's offense was horrible at the end of last season. Do you not recall getting shut down by terrible pitchers like in the Boston series at Fenways, etc. This offensive slump is just a carry over from last year's bad offense in the 2nd half. i know the offense wasn't good at the end of last year but it wasn't this bad we averaged 4.48 runs/game in september of 2006 we are averaging 3.85 runs/game so far this season
  7. I know a lot of people are fed up with the offensive production out of thw white sox these days, but here's an honest question, would you rather see the sox play the way they have been playing this year or the way they played the end of last year? No offense, solid pitching OR no piching, solid hitting? I can't make up my mind as to which is more frustrating of the two but I think that last year was quite possibly a bit more frustrating, what do you guys think?
  8. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ May 13, 2007 -> 12:47 PM) Not to be a complete dick, but why didn't you just post this in the post game thread instead of making a separate thread? because i felt that ozzie deserved his own thread for his success since he gets his own thread following games when people rip on him i think thats a good reason eh?
  9. guess i'm the only one that feels this way oh well
  10. Thanks for the win last night Ozzie. For as much heat as he takes he managed a great game yesterday between how he handled the bullpen/Buerhle and how he handled the starting lineup. How many people would have hit Uribe 2nd? And the late game pinch runner with Terrero. Great game all arround Oz
  11. just got to get a new CF since thats our biggest problem this year
  12. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ May 12, 2007 -> 06:55 PM) Oh, right, I forgot that Erstad has a history of hitting the ball well, making the comparisons to RF, 1B and 3B totally apt! sorry almost forgot that our 3B has a great .259 career BA and .304 career OBP i guess we're set there then
  13. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ May 12, 2007 -> 06:50 PM) Erstad's OPS now sits at .640. Of course, he'll bunt a runner over next week and drive in a run on a 1-for-4 night, and everyone will be gah-gah over him again. We need a CFer. Let's let Erstad play in a role he'd be perfectly acceptable in as the 4th OFer, and hopefully Kenny can get the Sox a real CFer by July. guess we need a new RF, 1B, and 3B since their OPS are all lower than erstads man, kennys gonna be busy!
  14. QUOTE(TLAK @ May 10, 2007 -> 09:19 PM) Except for a rough outing from MacDougal, it could have been. yea man the twins looked very vulnerable in that series
  15. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ May 9, 2007 -> 12:27 PM) It's basically impossible to win a tie game. with the way the offense is going right now and with the twins pen it sure did seem like it we prolly coulda played another 5 innings and not scored a run
  16. im feeling it this is the series that the big O breaks out and feasts on overachievers (so far this year) ortiz and silva
  17. I see no reason why we can't go into the twinkie dome this week and stick it to the piranhas. No Santana, no Mauer, maybe our luck is turning...
  18. macdaddy huge! QUOTE(santo=dorf @ May 5, 2007 -> 05:15 PM) Say, how's Tyler Lumpsum doing? good question how is he doing? seriously i know there were a lot of people on here upset to see them give up lumsden in that deal
  19. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ May 5, 2007 -> 05:11 PM) I heard he never gets any despite being a ball player. yea he is a pretty goofy looking dude
  20. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 5, 2007 -> 05:09 PM) I was wondering why he never got any ass. Thanks. haha yea he also has no pickoff move my bad
