  1. After next month’s draft and Crochet/Robert trades, the Sox should have 8 players cracking this list in the offseason. Top 3 farm once all those trades are completed.
  2. You were wishing so hard it would stay fair. Fedde got screwed by horrific d and did a good job overcoming it to preserve the lead.
  3. Lol. The same way you just spoke about Sheets and López is the way you spoke about Fedde early in the season “just wait until he comes down to reality”. I’m still waiting..
  4. It’s not bad either. Better fWAR than Cubs legend Christopher Morel in fact.
  5. Agreed. Seems like a really good guy too. Easy to root for
  6. Fedde is just good even if @White Sox23 will never admit it
  7. Nicky BA up to .253. 78 wRC+. Was at 0.3 fWAR coming into the game. Keeps hitting like this and he’ll be a 1-2 WAR player at the end of the season. Not bad
  8. Damn. The Cubs really suck. Lucky to not get swept this series yikes
  9. There are plenty of things to rip on the Sox but this really isn’t one of them. They’re actually quite good at signing the mid rotation FA starting pitcher in recent years. 2024 - Fedde 2023 - Clevinger 2022 - Cueto Their issue has always been primarily tied to the position player FA signings. That has been a huge struggle for a long time.
  10. That’s the one area where the Sox are deep in the minor leagues - pitching.
  11. I bet Detroit fans were thinking similar things about the Tigers in 2003. Three years later they were in the World Series. I’m not saying that will happen with the Sox but things can change more quickly than you think.
  12. But I was told nobody wanted Crochet this season.. ?
  13. Yep and I said it at the time it was the only explanation (off field issues)
  14. Reliever? I hope not
  15. 33.9%. Definitely a little higher than you’d like to see but if he maintains an OPS > 1.000 I don’t care.
  16. True but on the flip side Gonzalez has an .806 OPS, Wolkow is at 1.145, and Baldwin is hitting .363! So there are some positives.
  17. Ok you got me! They don’t give the exact number typically but they do state whether the pitcher has a limitation. Have the Sox limited Garrett this season or hinted at a future limitation as you continue to state is so obvious?
  18. Agreed. The minors appear to be flush with arms. Always need more and can never have enough but the Sox have to be top 7 for minor league pitching depth right now. The positional player depth is a different discussion altogether and that’s why I’m hoping they focus on bats in the July draft, especially if they go with pitching again at #5.
  19. ? 20+ WAR over a 10+ year career would be a fantastic outcome for Thorpe
  20. It doesn’t give an exact number of innings for the limitation within the article but the GM and manager as well as Buehler himself acknowledge that they delayed the start to his season in order to reduce innings and workload. So yea, clearly they are limiting his usage. Did the Sox do that with Crochet? Where is it even mentioned that they have a plan for him to make anything less than 30 starts this season if he stays healthy? He leads the team in innings pitched. I don’t see any restrictions thru the first two months of the season. I don’t know if you’re just trolling or what but one situation there is a clear limitation on the player’s workload that his season as stated by the player and staff as well as the team’s approach to the start of the season with said player whereas the other there certainly doesn’t seem to be one.
