  1. No, we’re hoping we trade him because we are realistic about ownership and understand they have no chance of signing Crochet in two years if he’s anywhere near as good as he was in 2024. There’s a difference between reality and fantasy land that you seem to be living in.
  2. That would be an outstanding deal for the Sox. I know most here disagree but I prefer Painter over Miller as the headliner in a Phillies trade.
  3. I would love a deal like that. I think Painter is going to be great and he’s still so young.
  4. Boston’s system is loaded. Getting any of their top 3 guys would be a great start to an enticing package.
  5. I think Crochet has more trade value than Cease had last winter. I guess we’re all about to find out.
  6. Who says he’s going back to Birmingham to start the 2025 season?
  7. Ah, so now you’re shifting the argument to say he’s only in consideration for T30 because other guys fell. Got it.
  8. It’s perfectly fine when combined with a 3.14 ERA and 10.5 K/9
  9. I’m saying he will be there on the updated rankings yes
  10. How is Gowans not a T30 guy? He had a great season, including AA, and has had a solid minor league track record ti this point. I’d certainly put him above guys like Nastrini, Eder, Burke, etc.
  11. Riley Gowens should be a T30 guy no? Shuster is an MLB reliever. There’s possibly more future with this trade than the Fedde/Kopech trade sadly.
  12. It’s not a flex. If you’re that concerned about breaking the mlb loss record (which I wasn’t but perhaps Getz was and many people on here were) then the Bummer trade makes a lot more sense. Personally, I would have rather targeted another Gowens type than bring in multiple “mlb pieces” in an effort for a few more wins in 2024. To me 125 losses is no different than 100 losses. They’re both god awful seasons and that type of team should only be looking to the future in these types of trades.
  13. Yea but just 1 more win would have prevented them from breaking the loss record everyone was worried about
  14. Get the out at second base and they’re out of the inning before Soto bats. Huge errors in key spots all series for Rocchio.
  15. In fairness, basically all of the top 10 teams in batting average were also the best offenses in mlb.
  16. And yet, one starting pitcher standing out in the postseason is a big reason why teams have recently won World Series titles. Guys like Bumgarner, Verlander, Strasburg, and Montgomery last year come to mind..
  17. Orioles was 2 games and they had two good SPs but very incomplete thereafter. Would have been exposed if they went deeper.
  18. No because the Yankees have the only complete starting rotation of teams in the playoffs and they’ve been the most dominant pitching staff in the postseason thus far.
  19. Landon Knack, the 27 year old rookie with the 4.72 FIP this year? Not sure that’s any better. And at least Crochet could give you 4 innings as an opener. Most of these starters are barely capable of doing that.
  20. It’s amazing to me how most of these teams have worse starting rotations in October than the 2024 White Sox. You’re telling me these teams couldn’t use Crochet right now?? The Yankees are the only team with an actual 1-4 rotation full of starting pitchers and certainly seem to be the most complete team. The rest are cobbling together guys like Cobb, Brasier, etc. What is this???
