The problem does start at the top. JR is the biggest issue in the organization. If he truly wanted to win, he would fire Getz this off-season. Getz hired Grifol. This was his guy. Hold him accountable for the hire and for his horrible off-season and trade deadline moves. But we know it's not going to happen.

You brought up interpersonal skills as being important to be a successful manager. I countered with someone with horrible interpersonal skills that had plenty of success. Pretty simple.

He was recently interviewed by the Sun Times and he said he would be open to returning to baseball as a GM or advisor. He never once said he wants to come back to the Sox though. Not sure the intention of the OP.
