  1. Negotiating isn't friendly. I am not advocating for a hard deadline but Hahn could communicate a need to Lozano for Manny to decide so that he can move on with the teams other off season moves. Whether is be over stated to him or not. The long game is not going to play out well for the Sox with this. Unless there supposed "lower offer" is higher than any other team is willing to go for now and in the future? If its not, the Sox may very well get burned down the line for not being aggressive and putting the pressure on him to decide now.
  2. In almost all cases I would agree with that but Machado and Harper are a whole different animal. These are generational talents with record breaking contracts. YOu sign one of them it changes your entire outlook on the present. You dont sign them it does the same.
  3. The Joc move is largely what I am referring to and to me its not a small detail. That would be a pretty huge move in its own right. And there is probably another that we havent even heard about knowing Hahn. I dont think there is anything wrong with Hahn at least communicating this dilemma to Lozano to possibly add some sense of urgency to get this done. I just dont get the feeling that a waiting game is beneficial for the Sox for many reasons. Sox should be adding pressure to Machados camp to make a decision any way they can. Maybe they are, I dont know, waiting and not knowing anything behind the scenes leads you to believe that they are messing everything up. LOL
  4. At what point does Hahn have to put a deadline for Manny to take or leave? He has a "Manny plan" that involves pursuing other trades and FA signings that are contingent on Manny signing. He wont be able to act on this plan and many of those deals may pass him by the longer Manny waits.
  5. Thanks Brett. You are really doing a great service to the baseball community.
  6. Joe O, god love him, can be an airhead sometimes.
  7. Yeah, the Sox offer won’t go down but it certainly won’t have to go up much more if Pads drop out and Harper signs a record breaking contract. Lozano will have very little leverage if any at all at that point.
  8. Lozano? What’s your play now? Spot getting tight...
  9. I think Manny signing will make Hahn really aggressive with his moves to follow. If he doesn’t sign he isn’t going to do much more than trade Alonzo. ?
  10. oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.....Manny please sign before I die of old age....ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooOooooooooooooOoooooooooooooooooooo....
  11. Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooiooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.....
  12. Mid thirty’s dude. Late thirties is 39. Jeez.
  13. No way. Only if it hits fast like a thief in the night! If we start hearing serious rumors we will blow through few hundred real quick.

  15. I think we should have a poll of how many pages will this thread be when Manny signs. I got 1,009. Accounting for the late push that will come with all the serious rumors.
  16. I think because you mentioned him in the context of Manny and Boras who fit that criteria.
  17. I am actually not ok with it though. Going into this I always expected it to be around $300 mil. The Sox should have anticipated that too. I honestly expected it to at least take that much. Now that the narrative has changed it doesn’t give the Sox and easy out. I just can’t give them that. They should have been prepared or there is no reason to show at all.
  18. I don’t think he was specific. But if they trade for Joc without signing Manny I will be very confused by Hahns plan or lack there of.
  19. Also, GREEDY had shared a recent interview video of Hahn on mlb network and Hahn referenced they were only interested in long term solutions. What the heck is up with this abrupt change to being interested in multiple stop gaps?
  20. I seen that but I guess I assumed you were referring to Hahns statement that they have 3-4 other moves and connecting what Tanny is saying as those moves being stop gap players. I don’t think Tannehill was saying that.
  21. That’s what you took from that column? I didn’t read that at all, maybe I have to read it again.
  22. Hahn can’t actually believe they had a good off season up to this point. He can not actually believe that.
  23. I think I am officially tapping out of the Manny watch. It’s obvious there isn’t any real substance to the rumors that we have been seeing go back and forth and we will only know when it breaks from the big boys that he has signed somewhere.
  24. Nah considering probably less than five percent of the fan base even see that random tweet other than us obsessed peculiar folks.
  25. I know, just the Reinsdorf family in general, don’t seem like that type at all. The burner type almost screams for attention and they never seem to want to be out there out there like that before.
