QUOTE (vandy125 @ Jul 3, 2008 -> 11:42 AM) What I don't also get is not only the negligence of the hospital staff, but also the other people who are just sitting there. Is it normal to see someone just passed out on the floor? I know I would have said something. It's just sad all around. Its somewhat normal to see crazy people laying on the floor.Sometimes psych patients get ignored because they will do crazy stuff just for attention. But 24 hours is ridiculous.

QUOTE (IamPabloOzuna @ Jul 2, 2008 -> 08:52 PM) oh dear his yelling after every out and especially after he finishes a game is one of the things i hate most about all of baseball...its incredibly irritating. Are you a grandmother?

QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Jul 3, 2008 -> 10:00 AM) The headline that I found that picture with was "Cookie is not amused" I have no idea why, but it struck my funnybone. Knightni thinks it looks like a bulldog, i cant disagree with that either. Its the Cloverfield monster. So the rumor.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 3, 2008 -> 10:12 AM) They were having some fun with our hitters too, by faking their gloves in spots and trying to distract them. Its pretty bush league by Soto, and someone will let him know it eventually. They just need to take an extra LOOOONG swing. IMO that isnt bush league. Its just a little gamesmenship which makes baseball special like stealing signs and trying to use a ball that hit the dirt.I love those kind of things.

Hawk must be extremely hard to work with.I dont know what kind of personality that would mesh well with his on a game to game basis.
-
I never felt like Hawk and DJ really liked each other. They can say that they do,but you could just tell they get on each others nerves.

We should have a worst of list.To mix it up a bit.

Now that the circus series is over the show can move on with the real business.

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jun 30, 2008 -> 02:55 AM) There are WAY too many erectile dysfunction commercials, especially during sporting events. Yes there are,me and my buddys were talking about that during the game last night. And I really hate when they come on when Iam visiting my grandparents, very awkward.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 29, 2008 -> 01:46 PM) I know Rowand, that was like one of the homers hit in the steroid days. It jumped off his bat. What are you trying to say? ...

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 29, 2008 -> 01:20 PM) Is anybody else still waiting for Thome to get red hot and at least get to .260??? You know I have cursed bloody murder at the TV for the past 3 months every time he comes up to bat but I have a feeling he is going to start to breakout on a pretty good run within the next couple of days and keep it for a month or so.

QUOTE (WCSox @ Jun 29, 2008 -> 01:31 PM) I grew up in Park Forest and lived in the south 'burbs for 11 years, eastern Iowa for 4 years, and northern Indiana for 7 years. I understand the rivalry quite a bit more than you seem to think. Iam sure you understand the rivarly, really. But I have lived in the CITY OF CHICAGO all my life where its a checkerboard of Sox and Cub fans and this effects my day to day annoyance level.
-
QUOTE (WCSox @ Jun 29, 2008 -> 12:20 PM) Yes, because a bunch of Cubs fans whose team hasn't won a championship in 100 years are going to illogically give you grief if the Sox only take 1/2 series and 2/6 overall against them this year. One would think that the Sox winning the WS three years ago would've upped the ante somewhat, but apparently a large number of Cubs fans are still stuck in 1999 and believe that the results of two interleague series mean something important. Yeah thats right ,you live in Oregon and you wouldnt understand.
-
QUOTE (WCSox @ Jun 29, 2008 -> 01:07 PM) Perhaps I missed it, but I don't recall multiple people here saying that we HAD to sweep the Giants, the Dodgers, the Pirates, or any other not-terribly-relevant NL team. Did you not read my post?I gave you the reason why I have to have the Sox win all three against the Cubs.
-
QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Jun 29, 2008 -> 11:50 AM) People here are worrying about the Cubs today because that's whom the Sox are playing tonight. Naw,I have been worried about the Cubs because I have to hear Cubs fans mouths everyday. They have forced me to make more of this series than it is.

QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Jun 29, 2008 -> 02:04 AM) Ah, well touche. At least he got to do something in the game then. Anyone have/can cap it? He called Quentin Lego hair.Lol
-
QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 28, 2008 -> 11:47 PM) It's technically not a no hitter since the Angels only pitched 8 innings (I think that's a recent rule change actually), but still amazing stuff. Yeah kinda weird they felt the need to make a rule like that.MLB will not acknowledge it as a no hitter.

The birds are chirping today.
