  1. QUOTE(Alpha Dog @ Feb 8, 2008 -> 01:14 PM) So, if while looking for corporate espionage he stumbles upon a plot to kill the mayor, should he stay silent? I mean, the ability to read the emails wasn't put there for him to catch potential murderers. If the business warrants it, he SHOULD be reading the emails, or having a program scan them for key words, etc. The fact that anyone can make it to the age of 18 by now and not realize that ANYTHING you put online, especially on a work computer, can be read by someone else should make you question their smarts. Rex Hudler had a very good suggestion. I hope it works well. You may also want to extend that approach to other employees just to get a feel for the rest of the office. It is nice to get honest feedback. I didnt say there is no validation to reading there work emails, but in that situation he should move on because that kind of email is not what he is supposed to be reading them for.I didnt realise he worked for the CIA then I wouldnt have made that statement.
  2. Your ability to read the employees emails is not there for you to spy on them to see if they are looking to move on to another job.Say nothing, and maybe you shouldnt be reading alot of their emails if you are going to be so offended about something like that.
  3. QUOTE(J-MAN @ Feb 8, 2008 -> 12:46 PM) You don't really eat those dollar dogs? Zoom(Joe) ordered those a few years ago - I told him to order the kosher dogs at $2.50 he wouldn't listen - after he ate them said now he understood why I ordered the kosher dogs. What if you happen to have a Rabbi handy?Would it then be okay to purchase the dollar dogs?
  4. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Feb 8, 2008 -> 01:36 AM) House! Now! Go! Do it! Amen! But Iam sure the quality of these shows are going down a notch with all the rushing to write them.Unless they have been writing independently assuming the strike wouldnt last too long were the season was going to be lost.
  5. QUOTE(CanOfCorn @ Feb 5, 2008 -> 12:43 PM) Swisher is not a home run hitter Is Nick aware of this.He would probably be alot better hitter if he knew.

QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Feb 6, 2008 -> 04:30 PM) And Lou Mitchell's is good, its a nice place for breakfast. Ya they have great omlettes, very unhealthy. And the free dounut holes are a nice touch while you wait for your breakfast.
  7. QUOTE(The Beast @ Feb 6, 2008 -> 04:08 PM) I'm with you man, they really rip you on parking. However, on Sundays, if you are willing to walk a few blocks, you can park for free in certain areas on the street. My family and I did this when my brothers, sisters and I were younger and it was kids day, so it only cost us about $30.00 total to go to the game---and that is with food, parking, tickets and the whole sha-bang combined. But you have to be real careful because pretty much the whole neighborhood has the permit signs,so there is really no free parking on the street.I live about 15 blocks west of the park and it is a permit zone.
  8. Just got back from a stay in the ER.The ER that I just so happen to work in, if I didnt get the special treatment my 4 hour stay would have been atleast 8.By the way,GERD and Acid reflux can feel like a heart attack.
  9. Has he gone on with them yet?Iam at work and that is a must listen,Iam pretty sure they wont play softball with him.
  10. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Feb 5, 2008 -> 12:44 PM) To break it down in the simplest of forms, HR=Bad? "Smallball"=Good? Of course Iam not saying HR are bad.But to have some ability to situational hit and be successful would be nice,I dont know about all that smallball crap.Just by adding OCab is it supposed to change the whole nature of our lineup?
  11. The sox problem last year was a lineup with a bunch of batters who would swing for the fences no matter what the situation called for.Swisher will add to that problem.
  12. If Nick hits over .265 and 22 hrs I would be shocked.I like his personality and everything that goes with the way he plays the game but I just dont think he is a good fit for our club.If SO and the inability to make contact and be crafty with the bat was our weakness in the past how is it good to add to that weakness?

  14. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Feb 5, 2008 -> 10:14 AM) The written test was the same when I renewed my license last year, identify some street signs, proper course of action in a given situation. I didnt get any wrong, and didnt study, and I didnt know I had to take it Thats what I wanted to hear because I really dont feel like reading that wrinkly book.If I dont pass Iam going to feel like such an ass.
  15. I have to go get my drivers license renewed tomorrow and they are requiring me to take the written test because of my speeding violations.I wonder if I should study? I havent taking any drivers test in like 8 years its probably all common sense questions anyways isnt it?

    Who is dieting?

The funny thing is when you are fat its really not that difficult to drop 20 pounds.I just have to not eat like a freaking pig but still being able to eat good food. Its difficult when you drop some weight and you want to drop more for a really lean and cut look is whats hard.

Lawrence's Fisheries on Canal and Cermak is always a good choice for shrimp. And they are priced cheap compared to other places that have just crazy prices for a lb. of shrimp. They are always open and there are always customers in there,I have been going there for 15 years.
  18. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Feb 4, 2008 -> 10:06 AM) House is such an excellent show. It is really one that grows on you as you learn the cast. Its the best show on TV.And what really impresses me is that they stay on point when it comes to medical terminology and the progression of a consult on a patient. It is just so so so well written and executed by all the cast.
  19. As soon as I read that name I thought, man thats a least favorite sox player nomination from me.
  20. Iam gonna watch it with my dad at his house with a couple of buds.Eat some homemade pizza on english muffins, freakin delicious.I just hope that its gonna be a competitive game with some Ohhs and Ahhs throughout.I hope all of Soxtalk enjoys tonight.
  21. The Mars Volta new album has a few moments of greatness in it(like most of their albums),but at this point I find it unlistenable. There is just too much going on in every song. They do so much with his voice there isnt much voice left.It honestly made me nervous to listen to it 1 time through.I guess if I was on drugs it would be alot more tolerable.
  22. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Feb 3, 2008 -> 09:12 AM) Some guy/kid calls the Score every day and states his case that the Bulls need to trade Wallace-Hinrich-Gordon-Deng for Shaq. Last time he called Boers and Bernstein they laughed him off the air That is not a show to call into with outlandish suggestions. You better be educated, precise and have a well thought out statement for their show or they will let you know how much of an ass you are.Kind of like Soxtalk .
  23. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Feb 2, 2008 -> 03:31 PM) So you're comparing the 25 year old poor defensive 1B rule 5 pick let go by the Pirates to a 23 year old plus defensive corner outfield top prospect? Noooooooo.I was just just trying to make the point that early numbers(first 150 bats)unfortunately are nearly meaningless.
  24. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Feb 2, 2008 -> 03:08 PM) When he came up in 2006, he hit 9 home runs and put up an .872 OPS in his first 166 at bats. That's some serious power. I have heard this stat thrown out there a few times, and then I thought Chris Shelton.
  25. Man that makes me sick.I have family that lives in Tinley Park I hope they werent anywhere near that mall.
