  1. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Jan 15, 2007 -> 03:44 AM) Are the Saints undefeated or something? Obviously not, but they have plenty of weapons on offense, and our defense has shown nothing the past 6 weeks. No run defense and no pass rush, all in a cover 2 defense and you are screwed.
  2. QUOTE(knightni @ Jan 13, 2007 -> 11:04 PM) Giada bites the heads off of small animals with that giant mouth of hers. Who doesn't like a big mouth?
  3. The Bears will not stop the Saints offense.Rex will have to play the game of his life,Hester has to man up,and the Bears have to force at least three turnovers. Then we will have a shot.
  4. QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Jan 14, 2007 -> 12:40 AM) I was a Reds fan when I was young. The first World Series I can remember is the 1975 Series between the Reds and Red Sox. In 1977, they started breaking up the Big Red Machine, trading Tony Perez. At the same time, Evansville, IN got cable. I started watching Cubs games after school and became a die-hard Cubs fan. About 10 years ago I started working for a Sox affiliate. After getting to know the players and many of the front office personnel, my allegiance started migrating toward the Sox. As recently as 2003 I was still rooting for both. But the more I was exposed to the Sox and the more I got tired of listening to Dusty Baker, the Sox won out completely. Now, the Cubs bore me. Couldnt you have just lied?Iam not sure if Iam mature enough to ever forget this post Mr.Hudler.
  5. His spine will fall to pieces this year and Fields will get his shot. Not to be pessimist.

Adam Corrolla project. They had like 4 episodes and I never could find out what happened!I looked on the web and nowhere has what happened.
  8. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jan 14, 2007 -> 04:08 AM) Maybe he is a bit over-rated.... but nobody is moreso than Beckham. He is a great passer and a great freekicker if thats even a word, but the rest of his game at this stage of his career especially is lacking. Donovan is in my mind no doubt a better player but of course Beckham has soooo much more star power. Donovan looked like a boy amongst men in the Cup.He will get out physicalled every time against top talent.Beckham shown he can play with rest of the world.Donovan dissappointed.
  9. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jan 14, 2007 -> 01:57 AM) There is such a huge difference between the World Cup and the MLS though. People watched the World Cup because the US was so hyped by the media. It's a matter of nationalism and pride in your country. Also, with international play, people get a chance to see the greatest players in soccer on a national stage with millions and millions watching around the world. Simply put, the MLS just isn't appealing to people in the US. Most people i remember talking World Cup with, the US was not even the talk.Except for when we talked how bad they were.If the top tier players come to the MLS I would become a fan.Really I was surprised how many guys enjoyed the world cup when it was going on and it was not a matter of national pride.
  10. QUOTE(MSHAWKS @ Jan 12, 2007 -> 09:24 PM) Soccer will never, ever, ever be mainstreamed in the U.S. I dont think this is true.Based on the interest in the World Cup I know it could catch on.Americans like to see the best of the best.Aleast we like to think we are watching the best of the best, but we know we arent in the MLS.I dont watch it myself for this reason.
  11. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 12, 2007 -> 09:01 AM) Do you guys carry a breathalyzer with you out to the bar? Dont need to carry a breathalyzer,Every drink is worth .02 and every hour your body burns off about .02.It is simple math really.

Even though it was brought back and is still on"Family Guy"had gotten the axe.I dont remember how long of a time period it was until Fox woke up and brought it back.
  13. I was about four years old and I was watching the Cubs at my greatgrandmothers house and I was cheering for them. And I remember my ggmther telling me"this family is a whitesox fan and I better never see you cheering for the Cubs again".Mind you this is the sweetest lady i have ever met and she said that in a very serious demanding way.Sox fan since that day.R.I.P. greatgrandmother Preski who died the summer of 04' year before we one the big one.
  14. A big part of my family is Greek and we always joked about how they hate Americans more than Al-Queda.
  15. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Dec 26, 2006 -> 08:53 AM) At .08 your reaction time is slowed quite significantly. Your eyesight is diminished as well. You may not realize it, but you are much less safe at .08 than when you are sober. After years of experience ,not so much with myself but family and friends a .08 doesnt have you swirving all over the road.I will give you that it can have an effect on a milla second decision, maybe it was just the grace of God that none of my friends and family have been hurt with a couple cocktails in them.
  16. I seen good ol' Jim on Paula Deen's show on the food network and he couldnt tell a chicken from a cardboard box.But he and his wife were cute you just wanted to pinch their cheeks. All old and senile.
  17. QUOTE(Steff @ Jan 12, 2007 -> 05:20 AM) Honestly, I don't ever speak to people in this manner in the "real world". I have yet to run into anyone who's thought process is as warped. I also don't run with folks who don't want to learn versus feeling attacked, or as you put it... like a turd. By learning you mean understand that your side of the story is right?Iam saying all this in playfulness by the way.
  18. With Juan's swing he will never be a consistent offense threat and he will be considered an offensive liabilty. He no longer has a future past 07 with this team unless there is a miracle and he hits .270 with his defense of 06.I predict he will be traded before the deadline.
  19. QUOTE(knightni @ Jan 12, 2007 -> 03:10 AM) Scarlett Johannsen She looks like she's a fish gasping for air. You shut up!You just shut up now!I love that fish!
  20. Iam just glad I only have to hear her on these boards. She does a great job at making others feel like turd. But what woman doesnt?
  21. I absolutely love The World Cup and watch all of it and iam always dissappointed when it is over because that is the only soccer season to me.I have never been able to watch the MLS because I know it is a few levels below professional talent. But if this signing can have a snowball effect and maybe bring in some other talent from Europe that would be great. There is definetly room for soccer in my sports world, but iam not watching the Fire as of yet and they have won some championships.
  22. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jan 12, 2007 -> 02:41 AM) Since I'm on a bit of a roll with this sort of thing (Pierre, Soriano, etc) I'm going to take a stab at JD's next contract which I believe will come from the Sox. 3 years, $37M guaranteed. $11M per with a 4th year team option worth $12M or a $4M buyout. This seems like a good assessment but Iam not sold on JD not feeling like he needs to be paid even more because he signed for less and still produced huge numbers for us.He wants his big reward after this season.
  23. Hilary Swank,Demi Moore,Russell Crowe.
  24. QUOTE(zenryan @ Jan 10, 2007 -> 11:18 PM) we could slip into 2 if we have a productive 5th starter and MB goes back to the 05 version of himself If that is the case we would slip to number 1.MB is the key to this 07 run.

QUOTE(Rex Kicka** @ Jan 11, 2007 -> 01:16 AM) Also love "Hurt" by Johnny Cash. Oooooo....good one.And the funny thing about it is Rick Ruben didnt even tell Cash that the song was written by NIN because he knew he wouldnt do the song considering his religious beliefs.
